Where are we today ?

After a nice relaxing evening and a good nights sleep. After our morning coffees, I went into Tavistock for a nice walkabout the park and around town for a while.
This nice trail behind off the parl was peaceful and scenic.

from there I walked about town for a but more in was a nice mild morning and the walk is very refreshing. Some people may recognize some of the parts of downtown Tavi.

Then after we had a light lunch we packed up our goodies about noon, and on the road to Daughter number 1 in Aurora at noon, about 2 hours away, for our second Thanksgiving Feast and family time.

As we arrived, the boys were getting together with their hockey sticks, practicing in the driveway.
Then I got out the pumpkins we brought and a few of them got in to carving them, something I have done for the every year at thanksgiving.

Really getting into it and having fun, on another perfect fall day.

Now soon time for supper, my carved turkey was all heated up and very moist, I made the gravy
Brian cooked up the sausage that he likes to have with Turkey.
Then we just helped our selves from the kitchen not too big a crowd today only the 15 of us.

More playing and socializing we all had a wonderful time.
Then soon time to lay down and relax with gramma.
We all had a wonderful Thanks giving day visit and feast, nice that we could all get together before we head on out for your winter travels. In 2 days we have seen almost all of our families, especially the kids and grands. We stayed over the night and will be heading back to Tavistock Tuesday morning.

Looks like you have had a couple of great days with family celebrating Thanksgiving. We certainly have had great weather this year for the whole weekend. With winter travel just around the corner, it has been a great way to end the season. Safe travels and here's to meeting up down the road.

DeleteGreat pictures! Those grandkids really enjoyed the carving, they are quite the artists! Food looks amazing. I remember when we saw you 2 winters ago the little one had just been born, what a cutie she is! They grow up too quickly. So nice that you got to see as many family members as you did!

DeleteFirst of all Happy Belated Thanksgiving. We had my sister visiting and I am just getting back on the computer and catching up with what everyone is up to. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend and two great celebrations. You two have some cute grandchildren and they are some pretty good pumpkin carvers. What a wonderful way to celebrate a holiday with both families.
ReplyDeleteLooking at your counter we are jealous of your departure date...oh well, as they say the best laid plans... but I am guessing we will not be far behind. Looking on the bright side we can read what way everyone goes for ideas on what way to head west. Enjoy your last week there.
