Just a nice relaxing summer day again.

Where are we today ?
Clic on the pic for more
Guess what? It is still summer here, hot and humid, just the way I like it. Windows open Fantastic fan running and just perfect for sleeping. As usual up early waiting for the sunrise to go for a few walkabouts. And did get a few miles done this morning.
A couple of nice flower gardens to see in the process as well.
Before I headed out this morning I threw a bunch of chicken bones in a pot of water to boil down and make a nice tasty chicken broth. Some from the freezer and some from last night. This done for a couple hours then strained the broth from the bones, added some celery, carrots, onion, garlic and spices, simmer for a while them add some broad egg noodles. In the meantime friends we  were leaving and we said good by to Dick and Raye heading out and another couple Mark and Maryanne stopped by to chat for a while. Nice to see them again. They heading to a baseball game in Detroit Michigan with the kids, sounds like a fun family time.
Now we have a very tasty homemade chicken noodle soup for a few lunches!
making the broth
After a nice light lunch consisting of a bowl of soup, banana and apple another walkabout and enjoy reading in the shade. Got into the reading mode for a while then I head to the fitness centre about 2 pm (nobody usually there) got a nice 45 minute workout and back to reading a bit more. I manage to read a book very 3-4 days and this one below is the one I started today.  Detective, type stories, solving crimes what we enjoy.
Later on Tucker and his Dad stopped by for a visit, was very nice to catch up with them again,
And a doggie fix for Suzie
with Tucker
I made a huge pot of chicken noodle soup and still lotsa chicken so tonight
fettucinni alfredo with chicken, fresh mushrooms and onions added to a small salad, garlic bread w/cheese sure did he trick.
thats' it , sure hit the spot
That was it for another wonderful summer day, now to enjoy a nice mild evening listening to the crickets and a quiet campground.
    Thanks again for stopping by.

  1. Detroit Tigers are our biggest rival. They are in a rain delay. By the way...We are huge Cleveland Indians fans.
Paul reads Connelly. He likes his writing.

    1. They were at the games cheering on their favorite team Boston, and it looks like they defeated Detroit.
I like Connelly as well, have read quite a few of his books.

  2. I'm still reading Seveneves. It's a huge book. Very intelligent book. It's muggy here too and we've had a fan on at night.
