Guess what? It is still summer here, hot and humid, just the way I like it. Windows open Fantastic fan running and just perfect for sleeping. As usual up early waiting for the sunrise to go for a few walkabouts. And did get a few miles done this morning.A couple of nice flower gardens to see in the process as well.
Before I headed out this morning I threw a bunch of chicken bones in a pot of water to boil down and make a nice tasty chicken broth. Some from the freezer and some from last night. This done for a couple hours then strained the broth from the bones, added some celery, carrots, onion, garlic and spices, simmer for a while them add some broad egg noodles. In the meantime friends we were leaving and we said good by to Dick and Raye heading out and another couple Mark and Maryanne stopped by to chat for a while. Nice to see them again. They heading to a baseball game in Detroit Michigan with the kids, sounds like a fun family time.
Now we have a very tasty homemade chicken noodle soup for a few lunches!

Detroit Tigers are our biggest rival. They are in a rain delay. By the way...We are huge Cleveland Indians fans.
ReplyDeletePaul reads Connelly. He likes his writing.
They were at the games cheering on their favorite team Boston, and it looks like they defeated Detroit.
DeleteI like Connelly as well, have read quite a few of his books.
I'm still reading Seveneves. It's a huge book. Very intelligent book. It's muggy here too and we've had a fan on at night.
ReplyDeleteI just might have to check out that book, thanks for the tip. Was muggy, but now cooling down a bit here.
DeleteGreat looking supper for a lazy summer day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Larry it was a wonderful day.
DeleteYou're relaxing so much I'm worried you might have a hard time just trying to stand up... :cD
ReplyDeleteI do get a couple miles walking everyday and a nice workout in the fitness centre when we are here, so no problem getting up, lol...
