Ok I am strange, I enjoy this hot weather, so spent the day outside puttering around, helping a few friends, while everyone else complained of the heat.

       Today gonna be another hot and humid one today, nice and cool at 7 am so a good walkabout is in order. Still a bit sticky even then temp 68f and feels like 81F.

          I did manage to chat with a few people here and there outside enjoying the early morning freshness.

pretty quiet here this morning

          By the afternoon gonna feel like 108f. So about 11 am turned our A/C on just to keep our house cool. Suzie does not do the heat very well. Me no problem. I actually spent almost all day outside. Our friend Richard stopped by and asked if I could help him with his satellite dish. This spring I helped him and it was an issue with their TV. So they got a new tv fixed the problem. Now lost their signal again. After a few tests, we established that a tree had grown and was blocking the signal. They are on a seasonal site. So all he had to do was move his post about 5 feet. And should be fine. These trees have a habit of growing.

          After lunch on my walkabout I stopped by Dick and Raye's place to check out the new to them very nice Tiffin motorhome and chat for a while. He had a bag chair that broke so told him to bring it over and we could fix er up. Not a problem I have lots of screws etc. so in no time as good as new.
           We were invited to visit friends George and Roseanne for happy hour about 3:30 so wandered over there. Passed by Dick strumming away on one of his many guitars, this one is a back pack one, sounds wonderful and his singing is great as well. wish we could have stayed longer.

        Nice to see George and Roseanne again and get caught up with them. So many stories to share and info about their travels. Lots of great tips

         He showed me some gold nuggets that they have found exploring with the Prospectors club that they visit around north America.

         Eventually home to whip up supper after, tonight grilled some chicken thighs to add to our salad for a very tasty meal.

      Because of our busy day extended social activities and later supper we missed darts tonight. Will try again next week.

      Now here we are outside enjoying a bit cooler evening, getting dark and listening to the crickets what a wonderful day to wind down a hot summer day. We will be watching the skies to possibly spot some of those shooting stars that are supposed to happen tonight.
