Quite cool this morning only about 54f with a cool breeze, needed my hoody on for my first walkabout. Fall is sure in the air. And again today just gonna hang out. Putter around more walkabouts and enjoy the peace and quiet here in the campground.Did chat with a few people and our neighbor that was leaving today. They showed us their nice 5th wheel/toy hauler. Like nothing we have ever seen before. This rig has a slide out that they can take their Harley with them. Open slide, open the door and an electric ramp slides out and down to lift their bike inside. No lost space in their living quarters, and so much room, what a great idea!
Then a few people walked by to chat a bit and Suzie get her doggie fix with Tucker and his Dad again. Said so long to friends Liz Taylor and Wray as they headed out, see them again on down the road.
I checked the tire pressures on the coach etc.. and spent some time scraping the carbon off our Weber Q, porcelain coated grill, just to clean it up a bit. I do this every year or 2 with cooking on it almost everyday it does build up. Then I stored it for tomorrows travel day, not using it tonight. Gonna rain at 5pm and it did !
Went over and chatted with Bill and Eleanor, they heading out in the morning as well, we will reconnect again.
Both lunch and supper today were light meals just some homemade chicken noodle soup, rice crackers, humus and fruit. Just what we needed for a change. Feeling overfed lately, nice to just have a couple of bowls of very tasty homemade soup.
Chicken noodle soup, rice crackers and Roasted garlic hummus really did the trick today |
Glad that you took the time to take a peak again today and hope y'all had a good one too. In the morning we moving down the road to Plattsville for a few days.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this summer
Don't know about you, but I certainly enjoyed the cooler temperatures and breeze today!
ReplyDeleteThe cooler temps were ok but found I had to put on long pants and a jacket, fall is on its way.
DeleteI have never seen a travel trailer like that one. That is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty good and he says works wonderfully.
Delete"Open the windows" was the first thought I had in the morning. Loving the cooler weather for sure. The rain passed us by this time around though.
ReplyDeleteIt will take a bit of adjusting for me, still used to the hot weather, but really just more like what we will have in the winter down south. We did get a couple of good rainfalls here.
DeleteOur evenings and mornings have been very cool. During the day it's really been heating up. I'm thankful for the cool starts.
ReplyDeleteIt just takes me longer to get going when its cooler, but will get used to it.
DeleteIt is so dang funny. Whatever your weather is like, we have the same. Cool this morning. Paul loves it.
ReplyDeleteSafe travel.
We are not that far apart, just across the lake from each other.
DeleteThat is a unique toy hauler. 47 here in Gunnison this AM
