A nice country drive taking a new to us route while relocating, and meeting with a bunch of friends and a last minute get together.

    Enjoyed  a wonderful cool nights sleep and headed out for a nice early morning walk before it gets to warm. With humidity going to feel like 100f (38c). Enjoyed the peace and quiet,  looking across the corn field as I strolled into town.

    Then we puttered around securing the coach to hit the road back to Rock Glen Resort only 74 miles so no hurry.  But we were still there and checked in before noon. Took a different route again to avoid all the detours from the last trip. Bonus we found a new route and new scenery and only one detour.

         Wonderful nice quiet country roads and no traffic hardly at all.

here we are  for 12 days this time

        We just puttered around a couple walkabouts, and relaxing in the shade with a nice breeze enjoying our e-readers and chatting with a few people walking by.
        One of those chats got us invited over to have supper with some of friends some we don't see very often and altogether at once. One couple in particular from Texas we usually see about this time here every summer for the last quite a few years. When we left  about 5:30 turned our A/C on to cool down the coach as it was 95 inside and humid. So it would be comfortable when we returned.
        We wandered on down to their nice shady site and all 10 us had some hugs and great conversation while the meal came together. And Suzie even got her doggie fix when Tucker's Mum walked on by he just had to give her a hug.

        Got a nice fire going and a kettle of water boiling to cook this fresh local corn.

      And of course we had a feast that everyone chipped in to bring something,  pulled pork, coleslaw, a tasty tomato, onion cucumber salad, corn of course and I brought a watermelon, that really hit the spot with this hot weather.

         Afterwards  we sat around enjoying conversation, a few stories, few jokes  and  lotsa laughs. So nice to be able to get together with these guys when we can. Such friendly group of campers. But its after 9 and getting dark  time to us to head on home, after a fun busy day.
