Where are we today ?
Friday ! Yes the weekend is here. Do we care,? Not much actually the weekends don't much matter anymore other than the campgrounds gets a tiny bit busier. I guess this weekend 6 rv's coming in, no problem nobody here is noisy or rowdy, never have been in all the years we have been coming here. A big advantage of membership campgrounds. Everyone is here for peace and quiet and not many children at this time if year either.
A few walkabouts today and enjoyed the sunrise through the trees looks so nice. Still looking for some color changes, guess not quite yet and thats ok.
Wind Turbines all around us here |
Our coach has a waste water flush for the black water holding tank (toilet for those who don't know). But it has topped working. I researched and researched on line many forums etc. even a couple of e mails to Holiday Rambler had some tips and checked them out. Even the check valve maybe not working . No luck all is good. Like our gas tank it is not easily accessible and can't seem to find an easy fix. Not a real big deal, the tank still dumps and if we want to flush it out just need to stick a hose in the toilet. It was a nice feature though.
Then shortly after 3 (just got back from the fitness centre) we were invited to Ron and Loree's for a happy hour. So grabbed our chairs and up the hill we went. Freddie (their dog) went ballistic when he heard us coming, trying to jump over the porch railing to greet us.

just under and hours and done to perfection 165 f internal temp |
sure hit the spot and lotsa leftover's too |
Just another day here in paradise with amazing summer like weather. What's not to like about that?
Glad you stopped by again and hope your day was as wonderful as ours.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.
I cleared my black water flush a couple of times by emptying the tank just before a trip. put in about 8 gallons of water and a large bottle of dishwashing detergent. Let that concoction slosh around during the trips until the tank was about half full. Pressured the flush line before dumping. Then dumped and the pressured flush line undid the plug and went back to work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Barney, that was a suggestion from Holiday Rambler, think I will give that a try, next time we move, won't hurt right?
DeleteIsn't it a great feeling when you are able to solve the world's problems! If only it would listen...lol
ReplyDeleteThats ok as long as its ok in our world, works for us.
DeleteHeavens - we couldn't even figure out how to get out of that room - can you imagine how bad it would be if we solved world problems. lol Freddie looked beyond happy to see you guys.
ReplyDeleteAt least you got out out the room.
DeleteSolving the worlds problems as you know is only a figure of speech, but we did talk about our winter travels.
We passed giant wind turbine farms coming across Colorado & Kansas yesterday - one was about 20 miles long.
ReplyDeleteThese are cropping up here all over the place that last few years, right in the middle of the farmer's fields. Have seen the huge wind farms in various places particularly near Palm Springs California.
DeleteNice that you guys are having such great fall weather. Hope it stays that way until it's time for you leave.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with trying to get your waste water flush to work. As you said they don't always make repairs on motorhomes easy. Kevin has been finding that out this past month with all the little repairs that he has been doing.

The waste water flush is a nice bonus, but not worth ripping the coach apart for.
DeleteSome of the repairs are next to impossible without major work.
Enjoy that nice fall weather. I like Barney's idea re solving the flusher block. Let us know if it works.
ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying the weather thats for sure.
DeleteIf that tip works I will be posting it.
That stinks! :cD
ReplyDeleteHaha, not yet !
DeleteWonder if we were close to Big Dude?.... we saw lots and lots of those wind turbines when we crossed Kansas into Colorado a day or so ago.... and lots and lots of cornfields. I've been out of the loop lately... are you heading south soon?
ReplyDeleteThink you were getting close to Big Dude but the turbines seem to be everywhere now.
DeleteOct 21st we cross the border to Buffalo and start heading to the southwest some how somewhere.
I can't believe I got so far behind with blogs. Glad things are good for you and you'll be heading south soon.
ReplyDeleteYes we sure will, not long now.
