Friends visit this morning, then 2 hockey games this afternoon and family fun times. More great memories.

Where are we today ?

        Another cool morning and got more walkabouts as usual for a couple hours. Back home shortly after 9 am having friends drop by from town . Barb and Steve have known for many years, even before Suzie. They want to pick our brains about motorhomes vs 5th wheel trailers. We enjoyed a very nice visit chatted for a few hours and could have talked for days about rving. Gave them our opinions and tips now they can assess and do what they want. Nothing like doing research and then do what suits your lifestyle. Thats what we did years ago.
        Then a bite for lunch and quit trip to New Hamburg for a few groceries. 2 Exhibition hockey games in town. One at 2 pm and the other at 3:10pm both grands 1 and 4 played very well and we did enjoy the action. Oh question asked yesterday. Grandsons 2 and 3 I am sure are playing as well but are a 2 hour drive away, not quite as  handy , but we will get there at some point before we head south.

        Both games were fast moving and very exciting, but the arena had no heat, it was COLD, half way through the second game I found the heater controls and turned them on, but too late. Much warmer outside than in the arena!

        Following the game we were invited to the Trails Edge in town to join them all for supper. Daughter number 2, her spouse, the 2 grands, my previous wife (before Suzie) and her husband. We all had a great time and excellent food as always.

       Conversations flowed and the food came, nice to get together when we can with our mixed families.

Then a pound of awesome wings, my extra
 suicide sauce to kick it up, and blue cheese dip,
cheated again on our healthy eating.

        But what the heck we all got together, enjoyed the hockey and fellowship right along with it, wonderful.

        Now back home relax for a bit before calling it a night. Hopefully we will leave here tomorrow and for Rock Glen Resort about 90 minutes away for a few weeks. As long as Suzie's data has been recovered from her sick old hard drive.
       After supper the sun is hitting the water tower to the east of us and a sunset across the soy bean fields behind us, gotta take a pic while I can.
