Where are we today ?
Just more amazing weather again today, sure can't beat this for the end of September. A few morning walkabouts, viewing the fall colors here and there as some of the leaves are beginning to change color, making for wonderful scenery.
As the temperatures warmed up I got in the mood to make use of this wonderful weather. Today's project was to Wax our car, this I do once a year. Its a 2006 Saturn that we tow behind our coach. 180,000 kms (111,000 miles) on the odometer, and about 300,000 kms (186,000miles) when you add in the towed mileage. It still looks good and runs very well, and has never been driven on the salty winter roads in Canada.our towed still looking good |
More walkabouts, chat with a few neighbors, a nice 40 minute work out in the gym, and enjoy reading in the shade for a while. Then shortly after 3:30 we had a few friends drop by for "Happy Hour" with two dogs, Clemson and Lady Girl. Some had met before but we knew everyone. These are fun get togethers, chat with new people and make new friends, solve all the problems of the world , compared or rviing stories and make more contacts with the rv community.

we had a fun time here in the shade on a perfect fall day |

We shared the pork chop and enjoyed a tasty salad with it too |
Supper done, a short walkabout and watched Rob playing with his Quadcopter showing the kids how it worked. Such a cool toy, it even has a camera that can take pictures while flying over head.

Would like to thank y'all for stopping in again today and really hope you had an amazing Saturday as well.

Nice to visit with all those friends. It looks like Suzie is becoming a Dog Whisperer.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is complaining about the shorter days were getting lately but if you are like us when the sun goes down it feels like it's time to hit the sack.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
She does love the dogs and they listen to her. As long as its not too cold we can sit outsite in the dark and read.
DeleteIt was a good idea to take advantage of the nice weather to shine up the 'toad'. Happy hour seemed to just that; happy.
ReplyDeleteWe are doing all we can outside with this great weather.
DeleteLooks like you place is the gathering stop. We really enjoy "happy hour" with our RV friends too. Usually it turns into happy hourS.
ReplyDeleteWe just happen to be the ones ho knew all these people, lets get them altogether, and what better way than a Happy Hour.
DeleteWe're having 80 degree weather also and I love it. Just wish it wasn't so humid. Quite the social directors - getting everybody together for happy hour.
ReplyDeleteWe do enjoy meeting other people and getting together when we can, exchanging ideas.
DeleteCan't believe this great weather. Hope it lasts until Christmas. Unfortunate that it didn't visit us more back in the summer, but that's spilt milk not worth crying over. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteYes we do love this weather, and hope it lasts.
DeleteLooks like it would be too easy to get an unwanted haircut if that quadcopter wasn't flown carefully! :cO
ReplyDeleteThat could be possible.
DeleteLove those warm fall days! You are in an area where you get beautiful fall colors. Glad you're able to enjoy a little of that before it's time to leave the area and head south.
ReplyDeleteWe usually get to enjoy some wonderful color shows.
DeleteIt was great to see you two again and enjoyed the happy hour time meeting new campers for sure! Especially when we find yet another 'twilight zone' connection with Rob and Pat. Small world it is. It was wonderful to relax for a bit after a crazy busy work week.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how small the world is when you start meeting more people that RV.
DeleteIt was great to see you guys again too, don't work too hard this week.
