Where are we today ?
Late last night after we got home from the party/campfire, we had some heavy rain and again this morning. But it was mild and humid so not so bad. The usual coffees and computing then at 8:30 am headed into Waterloo to get more stuff done at Ma's house. Cleaning, sorting, and having her old fridge go away, we are making progress. Looking in good shape now.Shortly after noon went to visit Ma and drop off a couple things. She is looking wonderful, big smile on her face and in good spirits. Slowly she is adjusting to her new residence. Lotsa food, people to talk to and activities going on. She even had a perm the other day right on the premises and looks really good on her. A tiny bit more expensive than going somewhere else, but at least she can have it done there, so convenient.
She carried her cat Tigger around the halls for a bit and so many people met him, sure was a great experience for every one there I am sure.
After our visit with Ma we did a bit of shopping then back home to Camp Awesome by 2:30 pm. Suzie cleaned our house making it look brand new again while I puttered around getting a few things ready to hit the road in the morning.
I had a shower finally, and we even had time to read for a few minutes before firing up our Weber Q to grill a couple marinated garlic and herb chicken breasts, and some fresh cauliflower in foil with leeks and yellow peppers.
While the grill is at work we enjoyed what was left of a wonderful afternoon. Read for a bit and even had time to chat for a while too. The day turned out pretty decent considering it was supposed to rain all day.
Everything all came together with a nice tasty salad and enough leftover chicken for Suzie's lunch sandwiches as well.
so tasty |
Hey, glad you could drop by again, just to take a peek. Hope y'all had a great day too.

ReplyDelete32 days to go only 44f here this morning.
DeleteWhen it starts getting cold in the north the warm winters of the southwest sure do seem inviting.
ReplyDeleteInviting yes they are!
DeleteSafe travels to your new location. Won't be long before the snowbirds begin their annual migration!
ReplyDeleteThe geese are heading south already.
DeleteEnjoy the move to the new camp site. In your case - as it is with many - a change is as good as a rest.
ReplyDeleteWe are looking for a change.
DeleteJust booked a reservation for this weekend at Rock Glen. Be nice to catch up and see you one last time before you head south.
ReplyDeleteThat would be great, we are in a different area this time, site 26, just down from the office.
