Where are we today ?
Not so cool this morning like it was yesterday almost 50 f at 6 am, we can deal with that. Very foggy for a while and as I head to the garage to chat with a few guys at 8 o'clock the sun was beginning to burn off the fog. Then at 9 am down to the arena to watch Grandson number 4 doing his hockey practise. He is doing pretty good I must say. Then at 10 we wandered over to the local restaurant for a treat. Suzie and I actually treated ourselves to breakfast, A very rare occasion that we actually do this, and it was very tasty.
11 am back to the arena and grandson number one getting a practise game in as well. He also is doing very well.
After three hours here headed into Ma's house to clean up some more, pack up a few things and help a friend pick up a few items he needed for his place. Ma came by, and visited a few neighbors to chat with and all was good.
Back by 3:30 to Camp awesome and got to finish mowing the lawn for this tour of duty here in Plattsville. Time to blow this popstand. We are departing on Monday morning, time to get away for a bit.
a perfect sunny day |
relaxing in the shade |
In foil I added some cauliflower, leeks and red cabbage for a tasty side dish to go with the salad.
very colorful and tasty |
There was a huge meal planned and birthday cake along with a big campfire, and perfect weather tonight for this event. We got there in time for the birthday cake.
Chatted with a whole mess of people we have not seen for years and even met some new people in the process. All in all everyone had a great time, enjoyed the celebration, good food and of course cake and ice cream.birthday boy on the left and a young fellow I worked with in a tool and die shop for 7 years before we hit the road |
the huge fire pit sure kept the dampness off tonight. |
Loving this warm weather that came back and hope it stays for a while longer.
Thanks again for your visit, it was awesome!
