New full-time friends join us and and wonderful day, a bit cooler but heck still wore my shorts today.

Where are we today

Another wonderful desert day. Pretty well everyday is about the same. No real issues to worry about. Mostly sunshine, cool nights and warm sunny days. The variable is maybe a few clouds and the wind directions. No Bugs, no humidity and usually no rain. Yes we love it and very reasonable or free camping to enjoy with wide open spaces and no reservations.
My 7 am walkabout came with another amazing desert sunrise. down to the entrance and back again just over one mile.
another amazing sunrise
After checking out a few vendors in town back to home dirt, helped Gerry and Melinda with a few issues for these first time rv'ers and boondockers Then enjoyed our e-readers in the almost hot afternoon, Would be nicer without the partial cloud cover. But heck we will not complain.
Our good friends Bill and Patsy (Patsy's Blog HERE and Bill's blog HERE) showed up early afternoon and wanted to join us. No problem the more the merrier. What a great treat, so nice to see them again. They are new fulltimers this year and their first time to the desert southwest.
this is their Mobile Suite

Happy hour around 3 pm or so and they joined us, Flapped our gums and shared stories and adventures. Always a fun time.
Left to right:t Melinda Gerry, Bill, Patsy
and Suzie as well as their dog Clemson
and of course Tucker
As it cooled down they went there own way and I fired up our Weber Q 100 to grill a cornish game hen that we always enjoy, as the sun is setting, always nice to enjoy.
a colourful sunset
about 45 minutes our cornish hen is done
1/2 each and a salad
perfect portions
That hit the spot today and think I will whip a small pot of chicken soup tomorrow just because I can and love soup.
Meeting up with friends and warm weather in these wide open spaces is wonderful.
Thanks for stopping by and I just know that you had a great day as well.

Where have we been this Winter

  7. We are enjoying our time in Florida but missing the dry of Arizona and the wide openness of the desert. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. When we are parked in the desert I love sitting out and watching the shadows dance across the desert floor as the sunrises.
