Where are we today

What another wonderful day here this morning first walkabout at 6:30 was very nice, about 50f and no wind (much warmer than Quartzsite but we have a much lower elevation here). Mind you the wind picked up when the sun came out but still was a wonderful sunny day.A quick trip to Yuma for a few food supplies (got a good deal on a Turkey .67 cents a lb will cook some of that later) and home by 9:30. Then we stored our Christmas decorations for another year.
Lotsa walkabouts today shorts, t-shirt and great weather really gotta love it. On one of my walkabouts noticed this rig at the back. He has it all. Their dune buggy on top of the truck, a car gets stored on the lower level and their huge 5th wheel hooked up with a goose neck hitch. and away they go.

Awning down for some shade from the blaring sun, It was only 65f but very hot in the direct sun. |

Paul told me it was 85 in Houston today. It better be that nice tomorrow, I am flying out of cold Ohio. Enjoy that sunshine.
ReplyDeleteI am sure it will be much nicer than Ohio, not that hot here in the desert but the warmth from the sun is wonderful.
DeleteWe are HAPPY! Aren't we George! The sun is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYes Patsy we sure are, love this desert sunshine.
DeleteNow I understand why you headed further south. Next year we'll be traveling differently.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
We like to follow the sun and warm temperatures, and really enjoy moving around the desert.
DeleteWhat books are you reading? Today was nice here, too, but cooler than where you are. Those sausages look GOOD! :)
ReplyDeleteLots of good authors we enjoy ,David Baldacci, James Patterson, Harlen Coben, Iris Johanson, J.a Jamce, Jeffery Deaver, Linwood Barclay, Lisa Scottoline, Michael Crichton just to name a few. Right now William Bernhardt (Strip Search).
DeleteWe will be back that way in a few weeks, The sausage are wonderful, but supply is gone until we get back to Ontario.
Just spent some time catching up and it sounds like you have been having a wonderful and relaxing time. The warm weather sounds great especially since the temperature, as I write this, in Escanaba is 14 degrees. The trade off my granddaughter is sitting across the table from me and that is pretty special. Keep enjoying the sun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by . Enjoy the time with your daughter even if it is cold, maybe soon you can head further south.
DeleteLooks like you enjoyed another day in sunny Arizona. It's sure better than digging out from the snow.
ReplyDeleteWe do love this area at this time of year, no snow is wonderful.
DeleteI am really looking forward to finding some of that warm sunshine, George, although not sure that Desert Hot Springs will be far enough south to get it. Here in Bakersfield it is still quite chilly. South today to the LA County Fairgrounds and the start of the Rally.
ReplyDeleteSoon will be warming up for you, enjoy the Rally.
DeleteThe rig above looks like our friends Dennis & Debbie from Washington.
ReplyDeleteThink their Plates said Washington, I went to check today but they were gone.
DeleteNice to have a rig that hauls all of your toys. Pretty sunset shot.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if you need all that stuff.
DeleteSo nice to see you able to stop and enjoy each day to the fullest. You had your hands full last winter, now this is your time.
ReplyDeleteSo far so good,we are enjoying it all, but ya never know things can change in an instant.
