At 10 am today we wanted to check out the Tyson Wells Stage Station Museum in town, Right next to Silly Al's. Only Open Wed to Sun 10 am till 4 pm in the winter. And admission os FREE. we like free.
Now this is one very worthwhile place to explore, We have been coming here for 10 years now and never been to this museum.
When we arrived the Docent (Richard) came right out to there to great us. He is a volunteer and really knows his stuff and history of Quartzsite. So many things we learned about the area of this small town n the middle of nowhere. He spent at least 90 minutes with us telling so many interesting stories and back grounds of the area and artifacts here. It should be a must do when you visit here, the go to Silly A's next door for an amazing pizza, if you have not been there yet.  I took way too many pictures here what you see below is only a small sample of the tour.

interesting about
Hi Joly and the camels
love this of you can read it
Richard
What a fun way to spend the morning learning about the history of Quartzsite. But time to head home for lunch.
After a light lunch and relax a bit a I headed back to Tyson Wells and checked out a few new vendors. More coming in every day and products always changing, Nice now with no crowds but it pays to browse and check prices.
Back home to putter around Suzie cleaned our coach and it is sparkling, while I checked a few things on the coach we heading out tomorrow to a free area somewhere around for a few days.
Our friends and neighbours had Brian stop by to give quotes on some solar stuff and while he was here I ask him to check out ours. I felt it was not right. Our system was not charging as good as it should, so after he tested it and made a couple of adjustments and modifications it is now up to par and working better than ever. He does good work and was recommended by fellow rvers and may I add very reasonable  as well.  The mods, parts and labor only $40, Brian's Blog Rv Boondocking with Solar click HERE.
Now when he was done it was time for 'Happy Hour" so over to Bill and Patsy' to compare notes catch up and have a a few snacks . Always fun then time to head home for supper.
Happy hour at thier house
For supper tonight I grilled  a couple turkey burgers to add to our salad.
yup hit the spot
No amazing sunset tonight but was still a wonderful evening. We inside for the night but still 60 f and 8:30 p.m.
We have been here two weeks, and have that hitch itch just have to go somewhere, not far but we need to go, not sure where but not too far. Love the lifestyle.

  2. I was wondering if you will be organizing Blogger Fest again this year at Quartzsite. I certainly enjoyed it last year and would love to participate again this year. Glad to see you are there already getting things in order for our arrival in mid January. We are currently in Florida and will wend our way slowly west soon.

Every campsite we find is perfect especially here in the southwest.

  4. Too bad you don't put up your pictures so that people can click on them to make them full screen. Sometimes it's nice to get a larger view of something, like those aerial photos for example. If you don't know how to do it, I would be happy to help.

    1. I had it that way a long time ago, just zoom in and enlarge the pictures, they are not high quality resolution so are not too clear.
