Just another wonderful desert day here, What can I say?
After my early morning walkabout at 7 AM , Before 9am I headed to Blythe California for some grocery shopping, Got that done and home to whip up a small pot of chicken noodle soup, from the cornish hen we did last night on out Weber Q.

After a great visit with Barbara she wandered back home and I finished topping up our fresh water tank.
Then Happy hour evolved . Friends dropped buy and more stories were shared. Always fun to exchange ideas.

It's about time.
Not far, best check with her first.
DeleteCrikey ..... how good was that?? You met up with my friend Barbara. Was Katie with her?? I knew she was near you and was wondering if you knew one another.
ReplyDeleteSmall world isn't it Charlie.
DeleteKatie was at home it was too hard to bring her this far over the stones.
the cooler weather brings out the soup makers in us. I made a big pot of homemade chicken soup yesterday. Yumm. The chicken I simmered for the broth was large enough to yield meat for both the soup,(two or three days worth) and for a double batch of enchiladas in the future. Love soup! Keep warm and say hi to Barbara for us if you see her again.
ReplyDeleteOh yes love homemade chicken soup oh so good.
DeleteWe will see Barbara again today and pass the message on.
Now that is a clever way to refill the fresh water tank. Good job.
ReplyDeleteHas well worked for us for years.
