Much warmer and sunny day, what's not to like? and a Merry Christmas too...

Where are we today
clic on a pic rot enlarge it
Now today we are having some awesome weather. Sunshine and not much wind for most of the day. This is what we love about the desert.
Merry Christmas
First thing this morning at 7 am I headed into Yuma to pick up a few supplies to do us over the Christmas Holidays. Nice that they are open 24 hours a day and I can shop early when the stores are pretty well empty of the holiday rush.
Got stuff done done and home by 8:45. Love it no traffic and no crowds. Then defrost our fridge that needed to be done.
Bill and Patsy got a new state of the art sunshade that he installed this morning as well. Love this system, 2 foot drop with a zipper. Easy to set up and easy to store. Good price here too from Shade pro at the Arizona  Market Place.
setting it up
what a great system
We enjoyed a wonderful very warm sunny afternoon under our awning enjoying our e-readers in the shade. At 66 f in the sun was perfect short weather. A bit later cloud cover was much cooler at 73F . But still a great day.
we do have some afternoon shade

love the view we have

At 3 pm Happy hour evolved at Bill and Patsy's to toast their new sunscreen. And she shared some homemade Christmas cake with us. It was so tasty, Thanks Patsy! No invite needed for Happy hour, we here,  come on by and join us, everyday at 3 pm this time of year. Bring your chair and beverage and meet some new people, this is what this lifestyle is all about.

oh it was wondetful
think she will take our pictures now
Again flapped out gums, a few laughs, shared pointers and enjoyed a fun social hour.
Then time for us to head home and whip up supper as the sun began setting in the desert.
Tonight some pan fried red snapped we pick up in Mexico the other day, to add to our salad,
pan fried on our Weber Q
oh so tasty,
We had a fun day hanging out here, walkabouts, readying , relaxing and enjoy this wonderful warm sunny day.
Thanks for stopping in and I just know you had a great day as well.

  1. Crikey ..... It sure doesn't look like you're going to have a white Christmas. Have a wonderful day. I love your card. Can I add it to my humungous list of Christmas cards. I've got heaps. Mum and Dad have hardly got any. Merry Christmas ..... just one more sleep.

    1. If the weather is conducive we outside for Happy Hour, and why not toast their new sunscreen? To welcome it to their rig.

  9. Love the Christmas card! Sounds like a wonderful, full, fun day. As usual - LOL. That snapper looks really good - I've got some salmon defrosting, it should be good, too. I haven't had fish in a while and it's my favorite! :)
