Been here long enough for now, time move on down the road.

Where are we today ?
clic on a pic to enlarge it
A pretty warm humid morning to start our day, started with a nice early walkabout, at 7 am chat with a couple people, more coffee, showers, secure our coach and heading out shortly after 9 o'clock.
A wonderful sunrise out our Kitchen window, gets me inspired to get outside.
This neighbour beside us loves to spend most of his day like this, a beautiful Greyhound. I know he would love to run, but nowhere around here for him to do that. So he may as well nap.
Not too far to go today about 90 miles, taking the back roads a nice leisurely drive into the city of Aurora. Park in my cousins drive and visit with them for a catchup this afternoon, then she made us a wonderful supper. Two marinated pork tenderloins on their BBQ and a salad. I made up a nice batch of sweet potatoes, with apple, brown sugar and cinnamon to go with it. For the sweet potato recipe click here or my recipe blog top right sidebar.
nice quiet roads, no traffic
the causeway in Bridgenorth
We arrived at the Walmart in Aurora about 11:30.pulled in here to make a bite for lunch and disconnect the car. Only a few blocks to my cousins place and easier the disconnect here and just pull in their driveway when we arrive.
next to the Walmart in the city a
 huge tractor mowing grass
all set up, but much warmer here in the city
so turned our airconditioner on for a bit
sweet potatoes and apples, ready for the Barbie
Frank doing a great job on the BBQ
amazing tenderloin so tasty and melt in your mouth
taters done too
with the salad we had a feast,
love the homemade Teriyaki sauce she made too
What a fun day to catch up again with my cuz. Too many years we missed in our younger years. Not to overstay our welcome we head back home into their driveway around 8 o'clock, relax for a bit and call it a night. A few things to do tomorrow and more family to visit.
Was wonderful that y'all took the time to stop by and hope you are doing well with the wonderful heatwave we are having.  Lotsa water and keep cool,  32c here feels like 36C (98f). All is good here.

  1. Nothing better than having your own bed when visiting relatives. Can't tell you how many times we've been offered a "real bed" for the night when we're traveling in our MH. My bed in the MH is a real as one can get! ;c)

    1. We have had the same thing as well, stay in a "Real Bed" This is our home and the bed as real as it gets. We love taking our house with us wherever we go.

  2. I agree with Paul. We've had folks ask us stay at their place instead of our RV. They just don't realize we prefer our own. I guess it's a hard thing for others to understand.

    1. It is a hard things some people to understand, at least us rv'ers understand and know what its like. We have out own space and it feels so good.

  3. Always interesting and revitalizing with a move and it doesn't have to be over hundreds of miles.

  5. We've been doing a lot of family driveways too and many offer their guest bedroom. No thank you. Only full-timers understand. We are the best house guests though because we bring our home with us. I know the real reason you didn't overstay your welcome and went home at 8PM LOL

  6. Sometimes the air conditioning is necessary just to get relief and that is okay because we have it! I love our 'real bed' too in the rv, it's ours and we sleep great! Your potatoes and apple recipe sounds wonderful, will have to try it for sure!

    1. It is rare that we use our AC , but in the heat of the city it is sometimes needed.
