Squirrely neighbors and weather again. But ended perfectly.

Where are we today ?
clic on a pic to enlarge it
Pretty cool overnight but sure had a great sleep with the windows open a bit we comfy cozy. 42f outside at 5:45 am and not much more than that until about noon.
Just add a layer or 2 for my walkabouts and all was good. Again lots of squirrels in the valley this morning I counted 13 as I took this picture below. Some in the trees.
the squirrels are still here
Did a quick drive into Arkona to drop off some mail and can see the skies, they do not look friendly. Ominous dark clouds heading this way.
After lunch a quick run to Strathroy for a few supplies needed for this weekend mostly because the weather was still kinda cool and yucky so may as well. Gonna get nicer later and the next few days so don't want to go far away.
After a few more walkabouts sunshine warmed things up and we outside enjoying our e-readers under our new awning.
so nice to have it back
this awning was made May 24th 2016 in Indiana
the day after it was ordered
so nice and clean, even smells new
Just before 4 o'clock our friends Emile and Monique stopped in for "Happy Hour", Perfect weather now. The usual chat, solve the world's problems, nice to get together when we can.
afternoon sun in trees
About 4:30 I fired up our Weber Q to preheat 15 minutes. And put on this HUGE 3 lb turkey thigh that I thought was a turkey breast. We will get a few meals from this monster.
All done to perfection by 6 pm.
added a fresh made salad
sure did the trick again
huge thigh bone into the freezer,
for a future soup stock
Now the afternoon sun still here and loving it, so more reading outside after a short walkabout until it cools down. We will enjoy every minute we can in the fresh air outside. friends Gerry and Melinda dropped by with Tucker, Suzie got her doggie fix today.
oh that feels good
wanna play?
Finally called it a night about 9:15pm getting pretty cool anyway. Finish posting our blog. What a wonderful fun day we had.
Thanks for stopping by again, and hope your day and weather turned out as good as ours.

  2. Nice awning. The way you have it in the picture, you must be expecting rain.

    1. I usually keep it that way in case of rain and for maximum shade, one end high for the door.

  7. Nothing quite like the smell of new. Nice to see your house complete again. I don't think I have seen one squirrel this year.
