Where are we today ?
Kinda not a too bad a day, temps into the high 50's f and we had some sunshine. (love sunshine). At about 9 am headed into the University Hospital in London to see the Doc. She is a blood specialist. Apparently all my tests came through A-1. No problems so looks like we are good to go. I should live for another day or 2, preferably much longer. Healthy as a horse? (how healthy is a horse?) Whatever, but I really feel awesome.Only about an hours drive to London from here and Suzie needed my hat to keep the sun from here eyes while reading here e book.
thinks she looks better in my hat than I do |
After lunch we puttered around for a bit, I checked our tire pressure, stowed our Weber Q, Suzie did a major cleaning of our house (day before we leave) She does an amazing job! A couple walkabouts, my last work out at the gym. I made up a huge pot of spaghetti sauce, with lean ground turkey and lotsa veggies and let it simmer for a while.
Then visit Ron and Loree with Rob and Pat for our final "Happy Hour" in Ontario for this year. We hope to meet up somewhere on the road down south this winter, in much warmer weather. We all leave at different times and are going in somewhat different directions. If not next summer in Ontario.
A nice social hour at Ron and Loree's |
so easy to cook |
the sauce smells wonderful |
so tasty and not to heavy |
Thanks again for stopping by, we had a good day hope you did too.
In the morning we will take our time secure our house and wander back down the road to Plattsville. Visit with our families and enjoy some Canadian Thanksgiving celebrations before we hit the road southward bound.

Great news on the blood tests!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels. Hope your weather continues to great.
Thanks looking forward to heading south.
DeleteWow, I have never seen anyone make veggies look so good! Enjoy following you
ReplyDeleteThank you they are so tasty.
DeleteAwesome news from the doc. That is always a huge relief!
ReplyDeleteSupper looked yummy!
Thanks.
DeleteWe thought the news awesome too.
Getting a positive check mark on the health front is great news. Yeah to that. And that bodes very well for travel medical premiums.
ReplyDeleteYes it does, now we are soon ready to go.
DeleteGreat news from the doc, George, we are so happy to hear. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels. We will be following you all winter. Take care to you both.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill and Pat, enjoy travelling along with us.
DeleteIt's always a good feeling to have a doctor tell you you're doing great.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels.
It sure is a great feeling.
DeleteMeeting up with friends and another tasty meal... what could be better? Well, for me... I wish I could read while riding... I'd be carsick in minutes!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day. Too bad you can't read while travelling, sure helps the miles fly by.
DeleteThat's good news to have the doctor say your fit as a fiddle. Now it's time to get packing. Oh wait ... you don't need to do that.
ReplyDeleteNo packing, just some last minute loose ends to tie up.
DeleteGood looking and healthy spaghetti meal. Knowing how you get antsy in one place, I guess you are excited about the journey South.
ReplyDeleteWe doing our best to eat healthier as much as possible.
DeleteThat hitch itch kicks in after about two weeks,
Didn't know you could cook spaghetti squash in the microwave! Now I owe you one for that tip, we always baked it and it takes so long.
ReplyDeleteMicrowave works great. just cut in half scoop out the seed, flesh side down on a plate about 1 tbs water and cover lightly until very tender.
DeleteThat spaghetti squash dinner looks terrific - we'll have to try that as well.
ReplyDeleteWe do enjoy it, and pretty healthy eating too.
