Where are we today ?
Another almost wonderful day. Below freezing this morning and frost, had the furnace run for an bit this morning then fired up Mr. Heater to get comfy. A bit of a walkabout then to the garage in town to chat "with the guys" see whats new.

Now the converter box is working just like she had in the house, think maybe she will be happy with that. Many more channels and preview information on the shows she watches, think it is awesome!
After 4 hours setting things up Suzie Back home for a light lunch. Then she has a dentist appointment in New Hamburg, so I dropped her off and ran my errands in town, got things to do here. Picked up mail and home shortly after 4:30.
Preheat our Weber Q, while I threw together a salad, grilled a tiny pork loin roast (internal temp 145f) and an apple, so nice and tasty and hit the spot. Lotsa pork leftover too.
That is done, a bit more computing, walkabout the acreage here and call it a night.

Thanks again for the visit.

Not much better George, than pork on your fork!
ReplyDeletePork we do love.
DeleteI keep seeing your "New Photo" posted. Maybe you should post a real new one in the header.
ReplyDeleteThats as new as we have, everything still the same.
DeleteWe've had temperatures in the mid 80's. Now we're getting ready for our cool down period.
ReplyDelete80's sounds good to us, then soon to head south.
DeleteGlad to see you're taking care of your Mom's computer, George - good work!
ReplyDeleteI do what I can while we are here, easy fixes, no problem.
DeleteYou are working hard to get all the glitches resolved. I sense you are rushing around a bit because the south is calling you to cross over the 49th parallel.
ReplyDeleteYes we are getting things done.
DeleteI do know what you mean about this computer/technology stuff...can't get the darn wireless printer to work from Joe's laptop. It works just fine from my IPad...duh?
ReplyDeleteThey can be frustrating thats for sure, good luck.
DeletePretty moon shots, George! my MacBook Pro's update to Mavericks is driving me INSANE! ...
ReplyDeleteThanks Carolyn, computers can be frustrating but my Mac Book pro has given me no issues with updates yet.
DeleteYou have one too! well mine is a early 2011 Snow Leopard ... the Mavericks was an update. The update said my MacBook Pro was eligible for this update. I did so and now? I have no sound ... can't play videos or YouTube ... this message keeps coming up ... I've googled but haven't had really good answers. I've tried everything I've been told to try ...The only thing I haven't done is uninstall Mavericks and reinstall Snow Leopard which really scares me a bit primarily because of my pictures.
DeleteThis all began when I updated my iPhone to iOS 8... iPhoto went away ... I never used that App on my iPhone but iPhoto went away on my laptop ... so I figured I'd upgrade to Mavericks and that would be that... iPhone had discontinued iPhoto but like I said .. I never used it there anyway... just on my laptop.
Soooooo any suggestions? before I spend money at the Apple Store... have to drive to Birmingham ~ three hours away ... SIGH
forgot to put the message ~ and that should read above an early ... ! grammar y'know... I've googled and believe this to be iTunes??? no update for iTunes... just got too frustrated and went to the beach for four days and quit fiddling with it... it also kept rebooting. drove me insane! had to find a cure for that and I did using Yates' computer... I open in Safe Mode. That's the only way I can stay online without the nonstop rebooting...
DeleteARRRRrrrrggghh
The system extension “/System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext” was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product’s vendor for an update.
Hmm frustrating for sure. Mine is a mid 2009 and have really had no issues with updates at all.
ReplyDeleteSorry last update either here or the I-phone my contact list went away. No problem just retrieved it from my time machine back up.
This is my first Mac and just love it a few issues under warranty, but all is good. Think maybe a visit to an Apple store might be in your future.
Oh yeah, tasty and so easy too.
