Perfect weather for a cold rainy weekend that was forecast.

Where are we today ?
What a wonderful bright sunny morning with pretty decent temps too. A few walkabouts after computing and coffees then we headed of to the Pinery Fleamarket in Grand Bend, with Gail and Randy, first time this year. Of all the Flea markets we have been to in Canada and the USA, this has to be our favourite. And we will be here almost every Sunday we are in the area.
The setting in the bush is wonderful and so many vendors. We have gotten to know many of them to. Only 20 minutes away and just nice to wander about the trees and check out to see if there is anything that we might need or want. Mostly disposable things like food and books.
Bread box and canister set,
remember these?
colorful dresses
old comic books and magazines
nice background music,
Indian flute player
lotsa flowers
cute baby swing
good deals on hats
gumball machines
Motorcycle parking
Suzie stopped by her favourite book vendor John. He does a great deal for exchanging. We brought in 15 used books and she gets 10 free. Thats a good deal. At a few other vendors we picked up some books making our take today a total of 15. So we be good for a while longer.
todays, pick of books
Then back home in time for lunch and check out the crew across from us. They are making a vegetable/flower garden here for the kids to plant and watch grow.
preparing the garden
Then just puttered around for a while enjoying this wonderful weather we are having. Too bad about all the people that cancelled their reservations because the weather guessers predicted rain most of the weekend.
Enjoying our books for while was wonderful. Then friends Rich and MaryLou stopped by to chat and catch up for Happy hour along with Emile and Monique, perfect weather for it too, nice and sunny and not too warm.
This tiny dog Max stopped by for a visit,
could fit in you hand, so cute
Then it's time again for supper. So fired up our Weber Q to grill a couple taters and shrimp kebobs  add that to a tasty salad and we feeling just fine.
yep hit the spot
After supper done it was still quite warm so back outside to read for a while longer, until it got too dark (about 8:30) and chat with a few people that stopped by to say hi. Another perfect day.
Would like to thank you for taking the time to read, and really hope your rainy weekend was as nice as ours.

  4. That certainly looks like one huge flea market. They sure are fun to walk through as long as you keep your wallet in your pocket. You have to be careful what you buy or you won't have much room left in your RV for the two of you. Looks like the your weather did trade places with our weather. Hopefully, it'll change back soon for us.

  7. I always thought Paul and I read a lot, but you two have us beat hands down! We haven't had much time for reading since we arrived in Ohio. Hope to change that once we hit the road again in the fall. Keep enjoying the good life.

  9. NIce that the weather cooperated. Not much funny going to the market in the rain. While in Mexico I picked up 2 books in the exchange and have since read another by this author, I order get them from the library when we are home. Anyway I think you might enjoy the books written by Brad Meltzer.
