Guess who had a birthday today?

Where are we today ?
Today is my big day! And I am so Happy, turned 65 years old. Why happy? Never ever thought I would live this long for one thing. I am relatively healthy, I am living my lifelong dream with an amazing woman who loves me and our lifestyle. AND now our government starts paying me a pension, and pay for prescription drugs just for being old, so far I like being old. Officially a  senior and even get senior discounts. They already pay our healthcare. It took a long time but now I have a paycheck. Not huge but a lot more than we have had since we quit work in 2006.
a few age related sayings I like

I am Chronologically gifted
I'm not old, I am youthfully Challenged
Inside every older person is a younger person saying what happened?

I did not change much over the years, did I, haha.
19 years old
35 years old
65 years old
this picture was taken by a good friend Monique
Most of the day was overcast and rainy off and on. Just puttered around a few walkabouts between rain drops, chat with a few people and got some reading in. Then around 4 o'clock it cleared up a bit when Emile and Monique dropped over for happy hour to help celebrate the day with us. And brought me a wonderful birthday card too. I would also like to say a huge thanks to all my Facebook friends for the birthday wishes too.
We even had a bit of entertainment as well. This coach below got himself a little stuck in a place he should not have been, but this small tow truck was able to winch them out, no problem
Then for my special birthday meal I whipped up one of my very favourites, suicide chicken wings, homemade fries, celery, carrots and blue cheese dip. A great price, so tasty, done the way I like them and awesome company!
Fry Daddy and Weber Q at work
sure took care of my craving
Supper, done and we relaxing for a bit, inside, the rain has returned, no problem. We comfy and waiting for appetites to return for a piece of my birthday cake. Again a favourite of mine and Suzie's. Angel food cake, now how can I not have a better birthday than that?
This is my cake before the icing went on, not ready to eat it yet but want to finish this posting.
only two candles, but I was able to blow them both out
and make a wish
Would like thank everybody for stopping by to celebrate my birthday with us and if you were here might even get a piece of cake too, before we eat it all!

  8. Well, happy birthday to you. There definitely are some perks that come along with old age but remember you're only as old as you feel. For some reason I'm thinking you feel pretty young!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

    2. Yes George, it was a lot of postings and it took me some time, of course. So, I didn't see the point in making any comments, with dates of postings so long ago. However, I live in Windsor, Ontario and would love to do what you both do... travel in an RV. I pray you had a wonderful special day on your birthday. Blessings... Lynn
