Where are we today ?
Plattsville Ontario
Wow we had sunshine this morning and clear blue skies, now is that just not awesome??? I was up before the sunrise just waiting for it to happen and it sure did. Just makes ya wanna get out and enjoy it. About 8 am I took a drive around a few paved country roads here, nice and quiet.

the view out our kitchen window this morning |

cruising down the road |
|
love the old bridge, but not for our motorhome |
|
the Nith river, from the bridge |
|
love to watch the cattle grazing |
Then eventually this morning I whipped up a mess of my Macaroni Salad (special request) that our hostess here Leah just loves. Tasty, easy and quick to do, I have been making it for years, a favourite in my restaurant and great for potlucks. For the recipe click HERE.

Then because it was so nice we played outside, run the dogs, walkabout and pick up a few loads of branches and limbs that had fallen over the winter. Get the 5 acres ready for me to mow the lawn before we leave here in a week. Suzie got to brush the dogs again, something she loves. Check the bag of fur behind her.

new belt and spring on the mower deck, ready to go. |
Then we did get a chance to enjoy our books outside for a bit some sunshine and a spot out of the wind NW 35 kmh (21mph). I would have been much nicer if it was warmer. Only got up to 10c (50f), but the sun was shining!

a new book for me |
Now because our coach blocked the wind today we can fire up our Weber Q, finally! And gonna grill a cornish hen and some baked potatoes. It feels like forever since we have been able to grill, and I guess a week is forever when I am used to grilling almost every day.
|
Welcome back Weber Q |
To the chicken a taters I added some of our pasta salad and Swiss Chalet dipping sauce for the chicken. 1/2 a hen each, they tiny and just enough.
|
Oh sooo good |
It is amazing how much nicer a day can be with sunshine, even if it is a bit chilly, makes you feel so good and energetic.
That was it for us today, hope you had a great one too. Thanks for stopping on by.
Oh did I tell you we had sunshine today?

Are you sure that was sunshine? It's been such a rare commodity lately, you might have been mistaken... :cD
ReplyDeleteYes it was sunshine, had to wear my sunglasses.
DeleteThose perfect days just don't come often enough. If we could just position our motorhome every time we stopped to block the wind, we'd be tickled pink. However, it would even be better if there wasn't any wind we had to block. Enjoy those perfect days while you can.
ReplyDeleteA nice breeze is very nice on a hoy day, but not so much now.
DeleteThat mower looks like it cuts a big swath. Nice to have a big mower for an acreage.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is nice 5 feet wide, zero turn, works awesome.
DeleteSunshine, mowing grass (my favorite job) and grillin' out... what a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteYes I do enjoy mowing the grass, riding around on the mower is fun.
DeleteThe sunshine is sure welcome! I have bookmarked your macaroni salad. Sounds great! Thanks, Judy
ReplyDeleteIt is tasty, refreshing and keeps very well too.
DeleteThe mac salad looks delicious! What a grand day you had!
ReplyDeleteIt sure was a great day too, much better than we have been having.
DeleteThanks for the recipe. The dressing sounds wonderful. I will be making that this summer for sure.
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty tasty I am sure you it will be enjoyed.
