Where are we today ?
Guess what we are having another awesome day! Morning sunrise first thing and a couple walkabouts, not too bad at all and no wind!
We had ordered our RV part from Sicards Rv last thursday to be delivered (Can Par). And apparently when they came around on friday "nobody home" again on Monday it came out and "nobody home". Well somebody was home and a note there with what to do with the package. They must have went to the wrong place, its real hard when you live in the country and road names have been changed. So we called them and I picked the package up this morning only about a 15 minute drive down the road. The package was our propane adapter to hook up to our main propane tank so that we can hookup up Weber Q and Mr Heater at the same time, a real bonus for us. Or we can hook up our Weber Q and propane fire place at the same time or even our camp stove. Sure makes life easier.
this be our new adapter all hooked up |
pretty decent temps in the sun and no wind, another new thermometer |
Stopped at the "No Frills" in New Hamburg and ran into a lady, "Debbie" who used to be a regular in my restaurant 15-20 years ago, have not seen her since maybe last year at the Hardware store in town. It so neat to run into so many people from my past when we are in the area.
Now errands done and home by noon can have a bite for lunch, with the sun shining and no wind we get to spend a bit of time reading outside in the sun with my honey. Shorts and t shirt weather, yippee!!! We will take all we can get.
Shorts weather, enjoying our books outside, love it!! |
tractors heading down the road |
atv's coming out of the bush across the road |
Suzie left early this afternoon to go with her Mom and Dad to the Doctor in Tavistock for check ups, so I continued to enjoy the sun, my book and even a couple walkabouts.
But she did come home in time for me to fire up our Weber Q to grill a couple salmon fillets, whipped up a nice rice pilaf and added a tossed salad.
sure did the trick tonight |
Buddy and Molly watching for squirrels |
Sure was a pretty decent day, we will take all of these we can get.
Thanks again for stopping by, we do enjoy the company of our virtual friends, and real ones too, y'all come back now, hear?

That is a pretty nifty set up for your propane system! How big is your tank George?
ReplyDeleteNot much heat needed today... Nice to have the sun out.
No heat needed today, maybe n the morning for a bit. Our propane tank is 32 gallons.
DeleteWe're going to be down in the mid-70's for tomorrow and people are complaining because it's too cold. But next Tuesday we're back up to 100. That's a great propane set up you've got. Make it much easier for you.
ReplyDeleteWish I had of found it years ago, or maybe it wasn't around then.
DeleteGlad you finally got your propane part, George. And, I think sitting outside to read when it's in the 60s is fantastic. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThe adapter sure makes things easier.
DeleteIn the 60's in the sun is wonderful after it's been in the 30's for so long.
Neat propane adaptor. I should get one of those.
ReplyDeleteGlad your weather improved a bit.....!
There is so many adapters out there, just have to find the right one,
DeleteYou seem to be on a roll lately with the nice weather. Of course, summer is just ahead so you should be having plenty of it. I think I could have salmon for dinner just about every night and not get burned out.
ReplyDeleteA few good days of nice weather is wonderful and gonna get better. We do love salmon too.
DeleteThat's a pretty cool thermometer, I'll have to look into getting one. I had salmon for dinner too - I have a little cast iron pan that works great. Since I really don't have room to take a grill, I should probably take the little cast iron pan with me when I start to travel again soon.
ReplyDeleteYou can get the thermometer in Camping world, rv parts stores maybe Walmart. Just remember to take it off when travelling.
DeletePerfect day! We had grilled salmon too!
ReplyDeleteLove grilled salmon.
DeleteIt's always nice to get a little project done.
ReplyDeleteSure is, a little bit at a time.
DeleteGlad you has some sun to enjoy again. We had -2C last night, hopefully that is the end of those minus temps.
ReplyDeleteCan be warming up a bit more here soon.
DeleteNice job on the propane adapter. Glad it has warmed up back there in Ontario.
ReplyDeleteIts warming a bit here and a bit there, but same as you we will take what we get.
