Where are we today ?
Yesterday was a wonderful day for the most part. Bright sunshine almost all day and when we were out of the wind it was very warm. We got quite a few walkabouts and chatted with lots of people we had not seen for a while.
the entrance to our Park |
All four of the outdoor playgrounds were busy as was the indoor pool and playground, (stayed away from there this weekend) let the kids have fun, it will be quiet again on tuesday
this is the area behind us in the square our coach is at the right side |
what a beautiful day! |
because we had the sun and no wind Happy hour at our house |
even Haley joined us too |
added that to a tossed salad, sure hit the spot |
Then at 7 o'clock the wagon ride was full taking people around the resort and was done just in time before the rain started.
After a short rain shower with the sun shining we had a very really interesting sunset.sunset from our site |
So far this long weekend is turning out pretty good (not beach weather) , but really can't complain.
Thanks for dropping in and hope you are enjoying some decent weather too.

Please, please send us some of that sunshine. Five days straight is enough!
ReplyDeleteWill do our best, nothing like a bit of sunshine to make you feel better.
DeleteThat is a neat mystical looking sunset. Do you really think that the number of users affects the internet? I really would like to know as the same thing happened to us in Mexico from time to time. I bet Rick wold know.
ReplyDeleteYes mystical was the word I was looking for thanks.
DeleteWith out Mifi in the States and Rogers Hub here there is certain ties when it is slower and I am pretty sure teh number of users effects the speed in some areas.
I've had to put the heat on each of the past two mornings. Just a wee bit too cool with temps down in the single (C) digits. You watch, it'll be stinkin' hot in no time. Never fails.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the number of users definitely effects your internet.
Stinkin' hot I don't mind at all can always find a shade tree, cool, breeze, nice pool and a cold beer.
DeleteOur internet is blazing fast at 4- 5am and as people wake up and get on lone it slows down considerably.
Great sunset shot!
ReplyDeleteThanks we really enjoyed it too!
DeleteMy favorite nature photos are sunrises and sunsets; this one is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOur favourites too.
DeleteBeautiful sunset pic, George. Enjoy the rest of the long weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rick, we will enjoy the weekend for sure.
Deletelooked like a good day to hang out - really like your last shot.
ReplyDeleteHanging out is good, thanks.
DeleteThe weather guessers weren't wrong. They just predicted it in the wrong place. We got it on the right coast instead of the left coast. We've been in places before with our internet where we had great signal but poor upload --- too many people and not enough bandwidth to service them all.
ReplyDeleteAs you know we take what we can get, and just live with it. The weather though is wonderful!
DeleteGreat minds think alike:) I carry several step stools as handy tables:)
ReplyDeleteWe have a our small tables and step stools, great multi use items!
DeleteWe don't need to be fancy do we?
Wow, you need to get some color on those legs!!! :cD
ReplyDeleteThey were well tanned all winter but sure does go away fast.
DeleteGood lord! What a gorgeous sunset picture! I hope you got the world's problems solved … they surely do need solving .. .what a gorgeous face Halley has … ;) acorn squash sounds deeeelicious ~ well all of it does …
ReplyDeleteThanks Carolyn. we did solve the problem at our campsite if nothing else.
DeleteGeorge.. enjoy your blog so much.. I even bought a Webber Q100. I try to follow your recipes to learn but I wish you would say... low, medium, high etc. and aprox time. I completely burnt the pork chops and so undercooked the potatoes in foil, and squash in foil, but burnt the slices. I even turned down the heat. I'm so lost. I maybe a gramma but I was not the one to do BBQ, my hubby and then our son. Now I'm left to my own devices and failing miserably. I love your meals.. only choice I see is follow you guys around and slip you my food.. LOL... regards grammady...
ReplyDeleteCook everything low and slow, but preheat 15 minutes first on high. The chops only take a few minutes, taters 30 to 60 minutes depending on the size. Sugar makes things burn and stick, a little practice and you will be a pro.
