Always something to do everyday.

Where are we today ?
Not so sunny today, a few times we saw it here and there but a windy 15-20 mph, not great for playing outside, we really have no where to hide from the wind too much. But at least its still in the mid 60's.
We have our yearly physicals this morning in Stratford at 9:30, so off to see the doc to be poked and prodded. Looks like we are both in pretty good shape for the shape we are in. Even got a few repeats to our prescriptions. Then a bit of shopping there and stopped at the lab to give up a few gallons of blood, so the labs will analyze us even more.
feed mill down the road
Home for our lunch snack and decide what we gonna do for supper. Really want to grill again but with winds and overcast skies, looks like we cooking inside.
Managed to get a bit more reading done and go over the busy summer plans that seem to crop up for us. Visit some more family and friends, a wedding in New York, looks like we will look forward to a few quiet days here and there. Puttered around a bit and before we know it time for supper.
Good thing we cooking inside because the skies decided to open up for a while, right when I would be grilling supper, not as much fun in the rain.
Tonight gonna whip up a Stroganoff Hamburger Helper, (something we have not had for a long time) a tossed salad and chunk of pizza bread will do the trick,(Leftovers for light lunches too). Even had Buddy and Molly in our house for company, they are so good around people and food.
Suzie taking the dogs for another run
hey guys come on in!
they like our house as tiny as it is
again tonights supper was very tasty.
one pot meal, love those!
they love the company, and do not bother us
when we are eating either, no table scraps for them,
Buddy sets sick, if he eats people food.
Now drizzling again outside but don't mind it we are done playing outside and can now enjoy a quiet evening inside, not too cold either. Down 8c (46f) overnight, great for sleeping with a window open.
Once again nice to have you stop on by and really hope you had a wonderful day too.

  1. You would have loved going to the Farmer's Market with us today... everything from fresh bratwurst to new spinach, beets, lettuces and of course honey, baked goods and much more. Didn't fire up the grill, but our asparagus and bratwurst would have been even better on your Weber Q. And... another sunshiney day here as well... can't ask for much more, eh?

    1. Love going to the farmer's markets, pretty soon we get out there, Brats and asparaugus is good no matter how you cook it.

  2. It seems we've had much more wind everywhere this year. We'd rather have a little rain than a little wind.

  3. Can't remember the last time I had a physical, at least 20 years ago.

    1. I think they recommend a physical every two years. Once you reach 40, you may have to start going.

    2. I'll be 61 in a few weeks and only go a doctor if I need to. I don't plan to start having physicals, maybe when I get into my 70's. Nursing was my first career and I've seen too many problems in the medical system to be a part of it unless absolutely necessary. Even now when I see an MD I tell them them what I want done and prescribed.

    3. I never did go until after we retired, I needed stitches from a bad cut and and found out I had very high blood pressure. Then last year another issue popped up that could be very serious, thats why we go, but it is a personal choice.
