A few more errands done, and even got to mow some lawn too!

Where are we today ?
Another nice sunrise this morning, a bit of cloud cover but temps got to the high 70's (28c) today and mostly sunshine here sure gotta love it.

Headed out this morning and stopped by Ma's in Waterloo about 9:30, had a coffee, a chat, fixed her printer (new ink cartridge) and set up her garden hose outside for her. Then off to an 11 o'clock appointment in Kitchener, and a 1 pm appointment in Plattsville, home in time for a late lunch.

Now with this awesome warm weather had to hop on this wonderful Ferris commercial mower and get a bit of grass cutting done. 5 acres here and some it grows much quicker than the rest. So from 2 pm until 4 pm managed to get about 3 acres done. Shorts and t-shirt weather too. Perfect day for it.

I am almost at the back of the lot, you can barely
see our coach at the front, furthest Rv in the picture
love a nicely mowed lawn at our site
Now quitting time for me, relax and read in the shade for a while, before firing up our Weber Q. Baked potatoes for tonight and some extras for a casserole I plan on making this weekend, A couple smoked pork chops and a tossed salad makes for a very tasty supper.
The foil pack top right is still our apple wood chips,
love the smell of them on the Q
so very tasty
Supper done and its still wonderful outside, take the dogs for another run and enjoy our books until 8 pm!!! Lots daylight still but getting a little chilly, time to call it a night. It's getting nicer everyday.
Just another thanks to ya'll for stopping on by again, hopefully you had great weather too wherever you are.

  1. Wow! A 5' swath! Mowing is my favorite "chore".... especially on a riding mower, but any kind will do. Those tomatoes on your salad look like "real" tomatoes! So many in the markets this time of year don't have much taste... Yes... the weather is wonderful, isn't it?

    1. Yep it sure is fun, not much into walking 5 acres pushing a mower. Excellent tomatoes on the vine taste so much better.

  2. Almost a bit too warm today but didn't want to complain because it took a long time getting here.

  3. Going to have to try the wood chips on our little Weber Q. Do you soak them first or just use them dry?

    1. First time I used them I soaked for a while, but now they just stay in the Weber until they don't smell anymore.

  4. I can almost smell that freshly cut lawn! That green grass sure is pretty! Don't see much of that here!

    1. We love the desert in the winter, but coming back to the green grass is wonderful.

  5. Five acres to mow! Aren't you glad you aren't in charge of a push mower to get that job done? I'm sure the owners appreciate it and you probably enjoy it too. What a great place to stay!
