Did we have rain last night? You betcha, Thunder, lightning lighting up the skies, down pours we sure did. The pounding on the roof was fierce. And when I got up waited until daylight and looked out side. Mostly stopped now but the after effects were amazing.

another of his page turners |
Then about 2 pm we wandered over to visit with Bill Wilson and Eleanor for a while, have not seen them since last summer. Always fun to catch up. Then we headed home. Heck it is getting hot. and you know it when Suzie puts on shorts and we sitting in the shade.
|
now this is the weather we want to see. |
We did enjoy this until shortly after 4 pm, the wind picked up and rain came down. Secure our awing again and helped neighbour Dorothy secure theirs.
Then time to whip up supper. Tonight gonna grill couple of Turkey Burgers on English muffins and some tasty Bush's beans on the side.

After 7 pm Suzie still in shorts outside so yeah this is wonderful. After we had rain, sunshine, rain, sunshine and now to wind down. The sunset pics below I took last night and maybe more later on will post tomorrow.

Where have we been this Summer ?
WOW!!! That was quite a storm that passed through! FYI - I was able to view both the videos you posted. A lot of water going over the falls!
ReplyDeleteIt was an amazing storm Jeff, And the falls like no one around here has ever seen before. Thanks for telling me about the videos I can't seem to view them.
DeleteWowzers, did you folks ever get hammered!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes we sure did,
DeleteNow that was lots of rain. Can get pretty scary when it rains like that. I was able to watch both videos. I wanted to BBQ today and within 20 mins I got bit about 10 time by those darn skeeters. So I made my turkey burger in a fry pan. :(
ReplyDeleteThe force if that water sure can get scary. but we were fine here. Them darn skeeters, sure can mess up an outside meal. The turkey burgers are yummy though.
DeleteLot of water there but it sure cleared out quickly. Glad you were safe.
ReplyDeleteThanks Barney, The water did clear away quickly the falls are still going strong.
DeleteWow is right!! That’s a lot of water! I was able to view both videos.
ReplyDeleteWe got so much rain quickly and it had no where to go. Glad you could catch the short video.
DeleteHeavens!! That was a LOT of water!!! Glad you are high and dry.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lot of water but we are in a nice dry spot.
DeleteOh George that video is absolutely amazing! You can see and hear the power of the falls!!! Amazing how wet it was in the am and how dry in the afternoon! Those were great pictures! I only see one video, but it's something!! Great dinner too!
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing and so loud. Things dried up real quick and that is a good thing. Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Both videos were the same so I got rid of one.
DeleteWow, that is a lot of water! All that water saturating the ground has got to make it tough for rigs to get in and out. Hope it dries up soon!
ReplyDeleteIt is a lot off water, some of the sites will not be usable for a bit. Ewe may have trouble getting out of our site later thus week.
DeleteThe middle of the USA may float away if it doesn't blow away. All the water in our area is heading down toward Grand Lake in Oklahoma. We are on the other side of town from the river so not affected much. We took a ride yesterday to see some of the water but the river hasn't crested yet. Not too many residences flooded so far but lots of corn fields are! Even the ones not flooded are just there - waiting for sunshine to grow.
ReplyDeleteGood thing you are safe there from the flooding river. That is a long ways for our flooding to get to Grand Lake.
DeleteWe need mire sunshine here as well for the crops.
I can not believe how much rain you all have been on the receiving end of. That video of the roar of the falls was a little scary glad you guys are up on higher ground. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThe rain was amazing to most anyone has ever seen here, We are goodie the higher ground though. We are safe now problem.
