Sunshine, spring flowers, and lawn mowing fun.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
The weather cooled down last night, and another good nights sleep. About 7:30 this morning  I headed out for a walkabout down river road and a few blocks around town. Enjoying some of the spring flowers in a few gardens. A nice refreshing 1.8 mile walk. I ended up with 3.6 miles walked  today.
another nice sunrise
love these spring flowers blooming
another nice garden
Puttered around for a while then we enjoyed a light tasty lunch. And with another nice sunny day, it was perfect weather to finish mowing the last couple of acres here. I do love the smell of fresh cut grass.
Just over and hour and was all done. A cool east wind though with gusts to 30 mph, keeps things a bit cooler, no shorts today.
just  cruising around the yard
enjoying the scenery
farms to the north
heading west to our coach way back there
It did get ups to 54F today and sunny, and we found a spot out of the wind too enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, enjoying our e-readers. Stored our Weber, too windy even with my windscreen. Checked our tires before we head out in the morning.
the weeping willow is really weeping
beautiful sunny blue skies , gotta love it
This is where we sat out of the wind, enjoying the sun,
reading and Happy hour
I finished another John  Sandford novel number 24 in the Prey Series only 2 left to finish.
I do enjoy his writing
Tonight a small pork loin roast I was going to do on our Weber Q but the wind did not co-operate today. I do have alternatives, hmm, slow cooker? pressure cooker? or in the oven? Ok we decided the oven, the oven heat will keep the coach warmer, and only takes 45 minutes anyway.
not long this was done 145F internal temp
still moist and tender
To go with this pork we finished up the leftover seafood pasta Suzie had last night at the Trails Edge, (she ate all the seafood last night though!). Well this sure hit the spot very tasty and some apple sauce to got with the roast pork that we like.
this hit the spot and lotsa leftover pork for lunches
That was another wonderful sunny outside day, a bit cooler than we like but heck it was sunny and no rain. We will take that for sure.
Now after supper it became overcast so no sunset viewing tonight, I am sure we will enjoy many more.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and see what kinda trouble these full-time rver's can get into. We been here almost a week, git things taken care of think we will mover on down the road about an hour further south would be good.

  1. I like that moving an hour at a time. Each year I say I am going to move less distance but I still sjut cruise on for 6-7 hours or 300 miles. At least it is a natural feeling time span for me.

    1. These are nice travel days very relaxing and seeing some new scenery as well. When we head south with several thousand miles to cover we tend to drive much longer days.

  2. Nice wave cut on the lawn. I know the land owners love your staying there. That roast looked amazing.

  3. You've certainly got the right mower for that job. Looks like a real beast and fun to operate. Puts my little push mower to shame. Lucky I only have about an acre.

    1. Yes Bob this is a commercial 3 wheel zero turn Ferris mower with a 61 inch cut and is a fun to operate. He used to have a smaller 36inch mower took me almost 7 hours to mow the yard .

  9. I envy the landowner whose yard you mowed :-(

Too much rain here for the yard guy to come out with his tractor or he will leave deep ruts. The flowers are just beautiful as well as the green grass.

Your dinner sure beats the cereal I had this evening ((me shedding a tear))

    1. I enjoy the lawn mowing and the wide open quiet place to camp, there was some wet area just a few days ago but they fried up. Nicxe to see the flowers and enjoy a tasty roast pork dinner.
