Where are we today ?

Very mild again last night no heat needed again this is more like the weather we have been waiting for. Wonderful morning sunshine and warming up nicely. I got a short walkabout the park then puttered around cleaning up the coach and car. Then to Forest to get my license sticker for the Motorhome, hmm did not check, they have closed down the office. I will have to find another location nearby. Did get 2 miles walked today at the end/.

We enjoyed a light tasty lunch and now enjoying this wonderful warm sunny day, 71F (21C) at noon, gotta have my shorts on again.
I had installed this new recliner last December in California. It needed a platform that I built there . But we want to make it look pretty. Like it belongs there. I had a plan We have some leftover flooring when we had it done in our coach 2 years ago. Back back home in Ontario. Stored at our friends Chris and Bills' place, a good reason to visit these guys last week. We have the flooring now and contacted our friend Walt and he came out to instal this and make it look pretty for Suzie, he has the tools and expertise to do this, my tools have gone away when went fulltime.

Walt came out and brought his wife Barb and a doggie fix for Suzie with Mya. Suzie and Barb had a nice visit while I helped, or hindered Walt as much as I could. Just and extra hand when he needed one.

While he was working on this the skies got darkened rains began. So I deployed our awning and he kept on working , Gotta get this job done. And he did.

We done working now time for Happy hour so Walt got to enjoy a cold beer plus relax my chair.

They left just before 4 pm so we enjoyed a nice time reading outside for a while before time whip up supper. Rain stopped and sun came back out temps warming up again.

For supper tonight a quick and easy meal, Got these precooked ribs on sale the other day, $5:97 just need to warm them up so a quick and easy a tasty meal for a good price.

After supper dishes done and still a wonderful warm evening we headed back outside to enjoy even more fresh air and the evening sunset. Temps still in the 6o's F and sunshine, this is the weather we really enjoy. Read a bit, finish this posting and catch an early sunset. then head on inside.

What a great day we had getting things done, visit with friends, great weather a tasty supper and a nice sunset.

DeleteI wish I'd learned Walt's pencil trick a long time ago. I saw that and thought, it's not on his ear, but that looks like it would work real well. Most of us have spent a good deal of time hunting up that pencil before the job can continue. :O)
ReplyDeleteYes Bob, Walt does have some neat tricks he uses. I had a few when we had our house and I had all my tools. Gotta have that pencil to carry on.

Suzie is so good with animals :) Those ribs look amazing! We made your turkey meatloaf and it was delicious. Thought there would be enough left for a 2nd night..nope!

ReplyDeleteYou had a nice warm day and I see Suzie has her big coat off! Yay! :D I'm just teasing, to each his own. We didn't get that warm but the sun was wonderful when it came out and a beauty of a sunset here too.
When I made the platform at Pilot Knob this was my plan, just that the flooring was here in Ontario so we had to wait. It was a wonderful day, just a but of a rain storm then cleared up again. To wind up with a wonderful sunset, bonus.
