we do love this resort or we would not spend so much time here |
After a nice relaxing travel day yesterday and a sunny afternoon, we had a great sleep last night waking at 5am was 34F (1C) this morning , but a nice sunrise and warm morning. First walkabouts the campground at 7:30 was peaceful 1.5 miles in to start my day. Chatted with a few people then went over to a fellow rver this morning to help with their satellite dish. When I got there his wife was showing me what was happening, They had pushed buttons and no satellite. then as she was showing me pushing the buttons all of a sudden it worked? LOL. They said hey you fixed it! Even though I did nothing, Now that was and easy fix.

In the orchard area a lot of over' a bunch of square dancers here for the weekend. Below.
Next was a nice country drive to Forest for a few groceries and some beer. Gotta love the special, Laker beer still on sale $35.95 for 24 but for 48 (2X24) $60.00 . $1.25 a beer. awesome price for Canada!

a lot of wind turbines in the area over the last few years |
Then home for a tasty light lunch and enjoy more of this 50F (10C) all day with sunshine until noon a light breeze and no rain, yup we will take it. No afternoon sunshine and temperature only got to 57F (13C) . No problem we were gifted a bunch of fresh Rhubarb yesterday (Thanks Bill and Chris) and Suzie would like a rhubarb crisp. Good day for it! So I set to work found a recipe changed it a bit and put this together, The heat from the oven kept our coach toasty. For the Recipe you can click
HERE, or my recipe blog top right sidebar.. While doing this we checked out our itinerary and made a few changes as well always do, then went to the office to see the wonderful friendly staff there (3 of them, Kristy, her daughter and CeCe). Changed a reservation and made another one for coming back here. For years the sites were first come first served now we have to reserve a site. For our lifestyle it is hard because our plans constantly change. But we work with the system as best we can.

While I was gone Joe and Choco came by to visit Suzie (think these guys wait until I leave, lol..) But at least Suzie got a doggie fix with Choco.

Choco smiling for me |
Our happy hour was outside for a bit then back inside. Then soon time to whip up supper. Tonight going to grill some chicken legs and thighs on our grill mat. With some more asparagus and a small salad, then some Rhubarb crisp a bit later for desert with ice cream, just because it is so tasty and we can.
