Where are we today ?

Rain again overnight. But was just a light mist this morning so did get a short walkabout. Coffees consumed and computing done. We secured the coach and Suzie left at 8:30 , to pick up her Dad in New Hamburg and take to a doctor's appointment. I pulled out just before 9 am, and travelled some very foggy back roads to Stratford stopping at Canadian Tire to top the coach up with fuel. Was down to 1/2 a tank, the last fuel up in Michigan back on April 10th. Does not feel so bad putting in $160.00 worth of fuel compared over $300.heading out of Rock Glen it was foggy |
and most the drive to Plattsville |

Where have we been this Summer ?
Looks like a nice river to boat on.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice river at this time of year with the water levels high amazing scenery.
DeleteI see lots of nice sunny days in your future!
ReplyDeleteThanks looking forward to them too.
DeleteIs John your relative? Not a pretty day to travel but at least it was not very far.
ReplyDeleteNo John is a friend we have known for years, We lived here for many years in Plattsville and had my restaurant here for 10 years.
DeleteYes I love that spot. I always enjoy the way you clean it up for the owners, keeping the grass cut and picking up. Have a nice stay.
ReplyDeleteThanks JO we love it here as well.
DeleteNice to be back to Camp Awesome. enjoy the week. I agree that it looks like you need dryness before you can walk that trail.
ReplyDeleteWe get lots of beautiful sunsets in our part of Ontario, we just need the sunshine!
It is nice to be back here and get things taken care of. Nice when the rail dries up before the bugs come out. Sunset here too but not so much with the bushes off to the west of us. We do get some wonderful sunrises though when the sun is shining.
DeleteCamp Awesome really is! Seems different to see it without all the green yet. boy that river is really running! Beautiful area you live your summers in! Dinner looks delicious too!! YUM
ReplyDeleteYes it really is awesome. I moved into Plattsville back in 1982 fell in love with the area and just keep coming back. Dinner was excellent too. Thanks.
DeleteCould you guys not make camp Awesome your permanent place? With 5 acres there surely must be a little spot you could set up perhaps with some permanent water and hydro if not a full hook-up. It looks ideal to me. Anyway have a great time there.
ReplyDeleteMarlene, it is ideal, but we don't much like to stay in one place very long, We do have some hydro,15 amp, access to water and can get pumped out. We always have a good time here. Not ready to settle down yet, not old enough, lol... Having owned 11 houses, and moved 21 times before we went full-time, this is much more our style.
DeleteIt can't be Camp Awesome if there are skeeters to bug you! Camp Almost Awesome? :cP
ReplyDeleteWell it is still awesome only saw 2 skeeters and they did not bite, once things dry up will be awesomer !
DeleteStill so very wet. Good that you are solid ground and not sinking. Keep enjoying your awesome life.
ReplyDeleteThanks Contessa we sure will. This is a good solid parking area, no problem here.
