Where are we today ?

Heck today is Wednesday already where do the days go? Wide awake at 5 am 38f and supposed be another wonderful sunny day once again. No winds right now so as the sun was rising got a nice brisk walkabout. And wonderful views of this huge super moon. So bright all night long we had moon shadows.

Then sun was warming things up nicely but the cold south wind was not very nice. A really had no place to get out of the wind and in the sunshine.

We did enjoy some outside reading for a while, chatted with a few people walking by and heard these loud military helicopters flying overhead. Man were they loud.

or a late lunch we went to Lin's Grand Buffet in Yuma (1 pm). This has to be the best Chinese buffet we have ever been to, so many wonderful choices and always fresh tasty food. Just about anything you could want from salads, veggies, shrimp , chicken, beef, pork, fish, soups, sushi, and even the Mongolian Grill to cook choices right in front of you. Great deserts and soft ice cream.

The 6 of us today Ken , Kim , Pat , Rob, Suzie and me we enjoyed a very tasty meal and lively conversation.
Then we headed back to Pilot Knob along I 8 to relax a bit.

Back home Kim, Ken, Rob and Pat joined us for Happy hour, but heck the sun went away and was very cool in the shade with the winds even though our thermometer said 67F

A bit later Bill and Patsy arrived and joined in the fun for a while, but by 4:30 with the cool winds and no sun was not comfortable, (ok rather chilly) So they all packed up and headed on home. We inside nice and cozy. Nice to visit with these guys again.

Inside reading for a but then Ron and Freddy dropped in for a short visit catching up with their day, Nice to see them again and of course friendly Freddy all excited as usual.

Now here it is after a cloudy cool afternoon we get a wonderful desert sunset to end our day.

That was about it for a fun day. Even though it was sunny mostly and not too comfy outside. But the good news is the forecast looks like it will begin warming up again shortly and back to seasonal temperatures again by next week, Yahoo, back to wearing shorts again.

Sun finally out here in Tucson. Gorgeous 50 degree day for once. Rain and snow on its way however. Hunker down!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice for most of the day but a very cold south wind. Glad you got a nice day finally. No snow predicted here only getting nicer here now.
DeleteWe don't mind those temperatures, great for hiking. But the wind would really turn us off. Looks like this year it was southern Arizona's turn for a cold winter. Seems to alternate between Arizona, Texas (last year) and Florida (next year?).
ReplyDeleteThe temperature is fine but the wind is cold, not nice. I agree it was our turn it does seem to alternate. But more than anything we love the sunny cloudless skies mostly and dry climate. We will see what next year brings.

It's about time.
The warming trend is on the way, Love all their food plus their hot sauce, hot and sour soup, but especially the Sushi with the Wasabi and green ginger Soy sides spices.
DeleteNice picture of the Super 'Snow' Moon, pretty over cast here. Lin's has at least another venue. We've been to the Phoenix location a couple times during the pre-season games. But the Yuma location is a great stop to chow down on the way home. Looks good!

DeleteWe have a Lin's here but it is always so crowded you can get in and the wait could be more than an hour. We went once and got there before they opened and there was already a line but we did get in and the food was great.
ReplyDeleteIt can be quite crowded at times. we fin the best time to go is midweek, early afternoon. usually can get in right away. Do love their food though.

Some wonderful days you two have been enjoying. Always nice to be able to spend Happy Hours visiting with friends. Nice pctures of the beautiful blue skies and sunshine. Now if the wind would would cooperate and let the sun warm us up.

A wonderful time with friends and the food was just a bonus. A bit too chilly to enjoy much outside and a bit of rain in the forecast as well but after that it looks to be a nice warm up to seasonal norms or better. Still can't complain, better than back home. Enjoy!!!
