A wrap up day here for us enjoying this wonderful weather, even some wildflowers

      Another interesting sunrise to begin yet another warm day. A nice walkabout on a mild morning, then at 9 am Suzie had the laundry sorted so I took it to the laundry mat here in the park. Now have my shorts on to enjoy this nice warm weather.

         Laundry folded and home by 10:30 Suzie put it away, time for a light tasty lunch and before noon a wonderful 75 F . yup this is the spring weather we have been patiently waiting for.

     Then a bit later checked our tire  pressures, stored our Weber Q. topped up our fresh water and drained our sewage tanks, ready to hit the road in the morning. Been here 2 weeks got the hitch itch again so moving slowly down the road in search of more warm weather and sunshine. Gotta be home in 43 days and don't want to rush.
    Enjoying some afternoon reading in the shade with only a slight breeze was perfect.

     An afternoon drive and did find some desert wildflowers around the area.

      Back home to enjoy our page turners for a while no intense sun but still comfortable at 78 F. In the shade.

          Shortly after 3 pm Ron joined us for Happy Hour, with a NEW CHAIR, they went shopping at Walmart to today for a replacement,. a nice reclining chair for about 15 bucks.

     We flapped out gums for a while , exchanged tips and information as we always do. then soon time to whip up supper.
      Tonight a nice treat some muscles  in Tomato Garlic butter sauce . A quick and easy meal to add to our salad.

       No visible sunset tonight so no picture. Posting this blog outside at 6:45 pm still 67F and no wind. not too shabby at all.
       But this is done we enjoyed a wonderful day. Gonna call it a night and head inside to watch the tube for  a bit and call it a night.
       In the morning we heading on down the road, to enjoy another wonderful desert spot we enjoy.

Amazing weather , friends visit, and fun last night dancing

       Starting with another wonderful desert sunrise today and a couple of walkabouts gonna be another nice sunny day. Not much on the agenda just enjoying the warmer weather. Chat with a few people outside and before we knew it was time for lunch.

    We enjoyed a light lunch then I cruised around the area for a bit and enjoyed reading in the afternoon sun.

     Down the south frontage road here for some new scenery ,

passed by a few washes that have been plowed out

        And found this giraffe the was just hanging out.

      Then I spotted this derelict  homestead that has been turned to rubble.

        Got a message this morning from Rene and Jennette we have known for many years. Met them many years ago when we camped in Desert Hot Springs California. He used to blog but finally stopped a few years ago. They are in the Foothills here in Yuma and wondered if they could drop by for a visit. Heck Yeah it has been a couple of years since we have seen them. They are from British Columbia Canada. Their Harley was itching to get out again with this warmer weather.

     What a wonderful visit we had catching up after a couple of years, So glad that they found us an dropped on by. Shortly after 3 pm was time for them to head on home, so they hopped on the bike and I am assuming back to their park in the foothills. They did meet Kim and Ken when they arrived for happy hour shortly after 3pm.

      Right after they headed out we enjoyed a  fun happy hour with Kim and Ken soon they will be heading on out of here and so will we.

     They headed out and time to whip up supper. As the sun was getting to give us a nice sunset .

        Update from last night

      Last night we went to the clubhouse shortly after 6 pm to watch and listen to the Karaoke here. Always an enjoyable evening of mostly wonderful singers. Most of the night was run by Barb and she sang a few great songs. And a Real bonus she gifted us with 2 of her CD's she had recorded Wow thanks Barb we sure will cherish them, Listened to some of the songs this morning already.

         There was some dancing to be done and we even got up for a twist and shout to burn off some excess energy.

      Now we had a couple of fun days here, friends visiting awesome weather, enjoying the sunshine, This is the lifestyle we enjoy never know what will happen next.

 Where have we been this Winter?

Wow what a wonderful warm sunny day, the reason we are here.

Where are we today ?

       Wow what happened, I slept in! This is a rare occasion for me, got up at 6 am, 2 hours later than I usually do most days. At this time it was 38F outside and no wind gonna be an awesome day.
        Did not get outside to see the sunrise but could view from inside and with these clear blue sunny skies I headed out for my first walkabout at 8 am. And my first mile of the day. Now this is the kind of weather we enjoy here and going to get warmer as the days progress.

         After a tasty light lunch another walkabout and a drive around the desert here for a bit. Checked out the LTVA area behind us to see if I could locate our friends Jean and Skip. They told us where they were but did not find them on previous lookabouts. I finally did locate them stopped to exchange phone numbers something we have never done, now at least we can contact each other.

      Then enjoy reading here for a while on a beautiful warm sunny day, 72F and much warmer in the sun. A pretty perfect day in our books. Is so wonderfully warm I had to put my shorts and sandals on . Oh yeah this is the weather we have been waiting for and next to no wind at all. And because of this great weather time for my hair cut, Clippers out and did it all then Suzie my professional barber here cleaned it up so I look almost presentable.

      Happy hour evolved , Kim and Ken came by to enjoy this amazing  weather the Ron cam by to join us, Conversation flowed all over the place and we had a fun time.

        Supper tonight a quick and easy tasty meal BBQ's turkey burgers on English muffins,  hit the spot then we can got to the clubhouse for a bit at 6 pm to enjoy some Karaoke singers. No we don't sing, can't hold a tune.
