The beginning of another wonderful warm sunny day, Up early and ready to head into town to get the laundry done at 6:30. Quick and easy and back home by 8:30. Puttered around for a while and said our see ya laters to Bill, Patsy, Rob and Pat, they heading south to Yuma into an Rv park with full hookups. Something that they enjoy. They pulled out around 10:30 this morning. We find it hard to leave the wide open desert views.
Maybe leave here in a few days and head out to California for a bit. At least that is our plan written in jello.

About noon good friends and fellow bloggers arrived. Ken and Shirley from Nevada (
Seeing America with Ken and Shirley) we have followed each other's blogs for a few yers and finally met up with them last year. Nice that they joined our group here as it is dwindling. 2 rigs left and one arrived. Now we have Tom and Deb, Ken and Shirley, Kim and Ken, Suzie and I. evening the balance out 4 Americans and 4 Canadians. Then Suzie set to work dusting our coach and washing the floors, Hmm smells so clean and fresh again. Windows open letting a nice breeze through our coach on this day an excellent 75 F. with a light south wind.

Now at 3 pm it was time for Happy Hour and today we gathered by Kim and Ken's coach. Ken and Shirley wanted to chat with them as they had never met them before . A great time for everyone here. We chatted, told stories, flapped our gums etc, you now the routine if you have ever done this. Always fun with friends. And before we knew it was 5:30 time for us to head home, later than usual, and start supper.

Been through Quartzsite many times. This time of year it's a real beehive, with all the mineral buffs. I pass through on the way to Wyatt Earp's old "Happy Days" mining claims site outside Vidal, CA - in the Whipple Mountains. We history buffs visit the site often - set up our picnic table where Wyatt had his mess tent. It hit -31 degrees here in Rockford, IL a couple nights ago. I sure miss that warm Arizona sunshine, which I'm sure you're enjoying.
ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying it thanks, Don't like those cold northern winters any more. Things are quieting down now so not too bad.
