Where are we today ?

Some what milder last night 52 F at 5 am after a great nights sleep. Then with the sun about to rise I headed out for a nice walkabout 2.5 miles before the predicted winds arrived. Enjoying the morning sunrise along the way.
the sun is making an attempt |
hugs and see ya laters so much fun we have had |
Kim and Ken on the road again, safe travels guys |
old water pump transfers water |
A little later we enjoyed our light lunch, then I took a drive about town to check out a few junk vendors to see if there was any new junk. Lots of it but really nothing that caught my eye, we still have enough usable junk in our home.
cool chairs |
nice teeter totters |
Neet bar stools |
lotsa junk |
Now back home to putter around for a while, read a bit outside then time for happy hour. And because of the high SE wind gusts to 25 mph even though our thermometer read 70 F in the shade it was not a nice day to sit outside, we were invited into Tom and Deb's Stinger B. Only 6 of us left here and so that is doable.
love these dest skies |
Soon time for us to head on home just after 5 pm whip up our supper. Enjoying a wonderful sunset as well.
Another great desert sunset as supper was cooking and our shake and bake pork c widhops baking in the oven, Much to windy too cook cook outside .
a treat we have not had for very long time |

Where have we been this Winter?
I sure loved all that junk art, recycling instead of landfills and it's all great fun things.
ReplyDeleteStinger B is huge. Another nice day had by all
Lots of treasures with all that junk a lot of people always looking and some buying. The Stinger B is a nice coach lotsa room. for a party.
DeleteCool junk! I like the sun flowers, maybe next time. Nice sunrise/sunset pictures under the motion of the clouds.
ReplyDeleteDid you plan the pork chops for the 'Year of the Pig'? Perfect timing.
Thanks Jeff, Yes Lotsa cool junk all over town. LOL I did not plan the chops for the year of the pig but they sure were tasty.
DeleteWe were looking at some yard art and Mexican imports today as well, which is sold here around the corner on Hwy 90. Always interesting, but like you said, not really needed. Your sky pictures looked dramatic with those clouds. That Stinger B is really spacious and I think it has more seating than my living room ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe yard art would be nice if we had a house always nice to look at though. We do love these desert skies. n. Lotsa room in the Stinger B for an inside happy hour.
DeleteInteresting junk, some very cute things there. We too are having some windy conditions along with rain and a bit of thunder and lightning as well.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice happy hour, plenty of room in the Stinger B for all you folks. Keep on having fun!!
All that junk looks like a lot of what we git rid of when we sold our house., We only had a few sprinkles of rain here just wind. Lots room to do it inside on this cool windy day.
DeleteIt was nice to be able to meet Kim and Ken; they are a nice couple.
ReplyDeleteAfter looking at your pictures we will not have to visit those vendors. Thanks for sharing.
Even though we had the sun all day and the clouds were beautiful that wind was and still is pretty "wicked" glad we had room inside for everyone to sit and not be blown away. It was a good Happy Hour.
Kim and Ken are a very nice couple. I wanted check those vendors out again it's been a few years same stuff is still there. The wind was wicked, thanks for having the space inside for us and an enjoyable happy hour.
DeleteIf I remember right, that "junk" dealer is rather pricey! I certainly do love their stuff though!! Beautiful sunsets, as usual!!
ReplyDeleteYes Nancy their stuff is very pricey, probably why they don't sell much.
DeleteCan't beat these desert sunsets.
We are glad to have met and chatted with Ken and Kim, looking forward to seeing them down the road sometime. I seem to have no desire to visit those vendors as I can't think of anything I need right now. Beautiful days, but wish there wasn't so much wind. Happy Hour is always fun with everyone!
ReplyDeleteThey are a very nice couple, glad they could make it here to the southwest. I wanted to get out and walkaround looking at the junk and there it was nice and warm in the sunshine and very little wind.
DeleteYes Happy Hours are always fun with our friends.
That is some serious junk you were checking out
ReplyDeleteYes Larry lotsa junk all around Quartzsite , not cheap though.
DeleteI think one of those metal horses would look great on your dashboard. You missed your chance! :cD
ReplyDeleteLOL, I missed my chance on purpose.
DeleteLots of junk!! Someone will find some treasures there. That wind gave you some wonderful clouds for your great photos.
ReplyDeleteThank Contessa the skies were wonderful. not liking the wind much though.
DeleteLotsa treasures in all that junk.
Lotsa Treasures that we call STUFF. Don't need that in an RV.
ReplyDeleteNice seeing you again at Happy Hour and Thanks to Suzie for the Smart Phone Lessons.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Yes lotsa stuff there we don't need. We share a lot of useful information at our Happy hours and have learned a lot over the the years from fellow rv'ers.
