Weird weather today but not too cold, so it was wonderful for a Christmas eve.

Where are we today
clic on a pic to enlarge it
Up early this morning as usual and my first walkabout at 6:30 this morning it was so nice, sun not up yet but very mild and no wind, I was in shorts, gotta love it.
we have the Yule log on the Tv
and feels so comfy inside
By 9am  the temperature dropped  from 59 f to 46 f, rain started and the winds picked up. Ok now more clothes on and still enjoyed the outside.
Then a nice light lunch and I took a drive about the area. North on Sidewinder road just to explore like I love to do. Came across this sign for the End of the world. Kinda cool.
a bit further up found this area
not sure what it is, no signs
in the middle of the desert
heading back the site of
Camp Pilot Knob
was in 1943
By 1 pm the wind died down and skies cleared we had sunshine. Chairs out to do some serious reading.
Tucker looking for Suzie
here she is
he is happy
a cactus bloom
After enjoying our e-readers outside for a while I headed in to clean a few large shrimp for tonights supper.
these are huge we love them
a wonderful afternoon, sunny
but a cool wind
At 3 pm Happy hour at Gerry and Melinda's, was sunny but still windy nobody else came out but we still enjoyed it. Just dress for the weather. Was still 59f.
Got  a text from daughter number 2 to do a FaceTime with her and the kids. What a wonderful treat that was while the grands opened their Christmas envelopes. and a nice chat with them all there face to face. They are all busy tomorrow so that worked great for them.
Tucker Kisses for Suzie
Tonights supper I made a 1/2 dozen corn muffins from this mix below,
easy cheap and quick
I sautéed the shrimp with olive oil and garlic, heated up the alfredo sauce ,cooked the noodles and added to s small salad.
oh so tasty, and more leftovers
That was our great Christmas eve day. now to relax for the evening and maybe watch another  Christmas show.
Tomorrow we having a wonderful Christmas dinner at 2 pm with friends here at the park, only $10.00 each and looks like a real feast we will have. Menu below.
Glad that y'all dropped by for a visit and hope your Christmas eve is as good as ours is.
     MERRY CHRISTMAS !
