Arizona Market Place, and more almost warm weather. Not complaining though.

Where are we today
clic on a pic to enlarge it
We had a good rain overnight and lots of big puddles this morning, flash flood warnings in certain areas but did not affect us. Today is a bit cooler and overcast only got to 70f but a cool north breeze and overcast pretty well all day. Guess we are getting spoiled when 70 f feels cold for us here !
yup we got rain
hmm what's going on here?
At 10 am a bunch if us headed into the Arizona Marketplace a huge flea market that we always enjoy wandering about, looking for deals and checking prices because they vary from vendor to vendor like most markets.
the marketplace
Nice to go here on a Thursday at this time of year, not crowded at all. But still a good selection of vendors here, there will be more come the new year, as well as huge crowds too!
Rob found this welcome mat
and thought it was cool
We checked out all the stuff and found nothing we needed other some deals of fresh produce that we picked up. Entertainment in the food court but too chilly to sit and enjoy it in the shade. The band was very good but the way.
Back home by noon we enjoyed a light lunch and some reading outside, dressed for the weather. Took a short drive over to Pilot Knob to check out the trails, but not today for me. Nice  desert views though,
As we usually due about 3 pm happy hour and a few friends and neighbours stopped by, Dee and Mike from Ontario and Terry from Kelowna BC. We chatted for a while then called it early when we got chilly, these short winter days and no sunny skies does that.
nice meeting new people
While we did this Bill got his drone out and took a few overhead photos of us. Nice to get a bird's eye view.

We had lots fun chatting and Suzie got her doggie fix with Tucker.

Then we all headed home to whip up supper. Tonight I grilled three boneless /skinless chicken breasts just to use them up and more leftovers. Used the grill mat for these to keep them from drying out.
Then addd to a salad and we had a very tasty meal.
yummy
No sunset to enjoy tonight with the overcast skies so we call it a night and inside where we are warm and cozy. Relax after another fun desert day.
         Thanks for stopping by.

  1. It IS an indication of us getting spoiled if it was 70 today! Sure didn't feel like it. Fun day though.

    1. It sure did not feel like it, the overcast skies and north wind. It the sun was shining would have been in shorts. Looking for a bit of shade.

  2. It doesn't look like you're slowed down by the weather. You're making the most of it for sure.

    1. We are enjoying it, not too cold and we don't have to shovel it. We try to work around the holiday crowds when we go out.

  3. I can think of a few times when that mat would have come in handy! ;c)
