About 11 am our friend Larry stopped by to say HI. Have not seen him since this time last summer. Missed him and his wife in California last winter because of our early departure
. So Nice to see him again and catch up.
After a bite for lunch we headed into the Buckhorn Community Centre to the Canada Day Celebrations, check things out. Nothing big or fancy, just a very nice small town community event, just the way we like it.

Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.
Just enjoying the day doing not too much.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like being Retired.
I forgot we are.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Yes we can enjoy everyday even more, love this retirement gig.
DeleteCelebrations and holidays are usually fun days and especially more so if you aren't retired. If you are, all the worker bees are out filling up the campsites for the retired folks.
ReplyDeleteIts a good thing that some people still work, the campsites would be too full otherwise.
DeleteWas a fun day.
Great outing for your special day..the wood carving looked very interesting - ending the day with happy hour catch ups seems like just the ticket...
ReplyDeleteAmazing how fast they can carve with a chainsaw.
DeleteThe Happy hour is a fun way to socialize and catch up, in the late afternoon
I remember playing on hockey sets like that in the olden days. Neat coin, is that new or of another year?
ReplyDeleteI had one of those hockey games way back when as well.
DeleteThat is a new 2015 coin.
