Where are we today ?
Saturday and another excellent day. Temps to 85f and about 50 % humidity, almost perfect in my world. Early walkabouts chat with a few people and the kids. Then about 10 am Ken, Jane, Suzie and I headed onto Peterborough to the Saturday Market.
Was later than usual but some vendors sold out, but we did have fun and picked up a few great things.

1st doggie fix for Suzie today |
|
And even ran into a couple friends of Jane's here small world! |
|
down by Chemong Lake |
On the way home stopped at the Foodland in Lakefield, grab a nice light cheap lunch at the grocery store BBQ. Hot dogs $1.00 or huge sausage on a bun $2.50, bottle water .50 cents. Sure can't beat the prices and good food too.

these young ladies did a great job handling the crowds. |
|
Then we had a couple hours to relax and enjoy our e-readers |
Shortly after 4 pm fired up our Weber Q 100, and put on a couple nice 3.5 lb chickens for supper tonight. I sprayed them with oil and seasoned just right. 90 minutes later they done to perfection, while we chatted with Ken and Jane. Couple of veggie kabobs too were a nice treat.

supper is ready |
|
chopped the chicken into quarters |
I also roasted some small taters in the oven and we had some pasta and bean salad, hit the spot.
|

|
Max dropped into see Suzie for a pet |
Then a visit to Ken and Jane's campfire at their site in the forest. Roast some marshmallows for her and just enjoyed a wonderful evening, but at least today we got to bed much earlier than last night.
|

I love those market places! Hey... your grilled tuna looked so good I was going to buy a couple for our dinner. BUT... the grocery here had some... would have cost more than $10... EACH... per slice. Yeah... we're in Maine, but up in potato country... not even near the coast. I'll have to salivate over your meals instead.
ReplyDeleteThe markets are fun.
DeleteWow thats expensive!
Ours were not too got 3 steaks in a package for $10, total about 4 oz each frozen.
Terry gets his doggie fix just like Suzy. It's with every dog he sees.
ReplyDeleteThats a great way to enjoy dogs,
DeleteWe often stop at Costco for lunch - a polish sausage or hot dog and a drink for $1.50. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWe ave done Costco as well, but stopped here on the way home to pick up a couple fresh chickens on sale.
DeleteLooks like another wonderful day spent with family and friends. We get our doggie fixes when we visit our daughter's and our cat fix when we visit our son's and we don't have to clean up after them either.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
That's the bonus with not having animals and the expense as well.
DeleteYou've sure got your grill full of great looking food.
ReplyDeleteThanks Larry.
DeleteOur little Weber Q sure does the trick.
George you are looking very svelt!
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks Contessa!
