Where are we today ?

Gonna be a hot one today and we don't mind that at all. Because we spend the day outside in the shade puttering around, go for a couple swims etc. And I even mowed the lawn for a bit, only an hour though. I have 3 days of hot weather to get it done before we leave the area. And don't want to overheat the mower.With temperature feeling like 34 C (94f) and no breeze inside our coach was still about 90f at 7:30 tonight. So I broke down and fired up our generator to cool things down for an hour or so. Does not take long with both a/cs running. Not enough power here to run even one ac with a 200 ft extension cord on a 15 amp plug. Plus good to exercise both the genny and a/cs once in a while anyway.
The pool is refreshing and a few minutes sure does work great, no one else using it anyway.
About 4 o'clock Suzie go see her Mom again while I prepped supper for when she returned at 6 pm. Tonight a couple wild sockeye burgers that we picked up at the market last saturday from Caudles Catch, they have some excellent seafood, Wish we could buy more but only have so much freezer space.

We've been on 15 amp plugs many times. It's better than no plugs at all but limits the microwave and air conditioner usage. We don't like hot and we don't like cold. I want everything perfect. Needless to say, we don't get our way often enough.
ReplyDeleteWe do 15 amp and no hookups frequently and can get by just fine. most of the time.
DeleteWe don't mind the hot at all, and sure don't like cold. Parking here is worth any minor inconvenience like this.
I agree, I think it's good to turn on those appliances we don't use often and what better time to run them than when you need them.

DeleteOur generator is getting a real workout as I run it full time while traveling thru the 100F midwest - the dash AC keeps Bev and I okay, but Pat would swelter further back without the coach AC's.

DeleteWhat a great idea, fish burgers. We don't have those in the UK, not that I've seen. We're back to cold here. We had 34 a few weeks ago now barely 16. Apparently it's not even as warm as we'd expect in October let alone July!

If we can't get the MH down to 65F, Marti can't sleep at night, often our genny gets a real work out. I have to use my electric blanket... ;c)

Costco has frozen WILD salmon burgers at this time of year. Nothing wrong with giving the gennie a workout.

DeleteWe don't do Costco any more, not worth it for the small quantities and varieties of food we buy.
Can always get good deals at local markets too.
Love the wild salmon burgers but sometimes it's difficult to find them. Wish we had people to share with when we shop at Costco. They have great meat but unless we're cooking for a crowd, don't buy much there either.
