Not much going on today and thats just fine...

Where are we today ?
What did we do today? Not a heck of a lot. And that is just perfect. We had a busy day yesterday and lotsa fun. There is not a lot that we need to see in the area, so just gonna hang out and putter around.
Don't need to go to New Orleans, too busy there, too much going on, too many people. Super Bowl going on there today, Mardi Gras going on there, all those crowds, people and traffic not for us.
So just putter about, clean up a bit, wash some windows, chat with neighbors, walkabouts, exercise, then eventually make time to enjoy our books for a while on this great 75f (23c) sunny day.
Can't think of a better way to enjoy this great weather. We are not sports fans (or tv watchers either) so the Supper Bowl does not interest us at all.
relaxing in the shade with our books
Then about 5 o'clock, fire up our Weber to grill a couple marinated boneless chicken breasts and some fresh tender asparagus, add potato salad, some tomato and we having ourselves a very tasty supper.
That's it for the day, absolutely awesome, at least we enjoyed it. Not much for you to look at, but thats what we did.
So thanks for dropping by and hope you had a great one too.

  1. I think I would stay as far away from New Orleans as I could right now!

  2. It seems almost strange to hear of people other Kathy and I that are not Sports Fanatics. Our son-in-law is one and gets upset with us when we don't know who is playing or who won the game. Who Cares! There is more to life than sports. Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  3. Ya, we are not big Super Bowl fans either. Last year our park had free beer and popcorn, so we went, but it was raining this year, so we stayed in the rig.

I did manage to bbq some pork chops in between the sprinkles.

Glad you are having great weather. Take care ... TnT

  5. Sounded like a good Sunday to me. Like your camp site with all the tall trees. Have a good Monday!

  6. BBQ asparagus, a new one for me.

Are those bikes on the back of your rig? I have never seen you out riding them.

  7. Asparagus on the BBQ just grill lightly for a couple minutes, lightly coat with olive oil first. Excellent.
We ride the bikes when there is someplace to ride them, other than around a small campground. Most campgrounds have highways near with high speed traffic and no where to ride our bikes.
Rock Port Texas is a good spot as is the desert in Arizona.
We would ride more if we had a bike rack on the car.

  8. At least the Super Bowl hype is over for another year. I enjoy watching the actual game but hate all the pre-game hoopla that goes on forever.

I'll have to try that bbq asparagus on our new Weber!
