Last Day in Ontario..

Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario
Such a wonderful morning today, fairly mild and I thought not a lot on the agenda. Well after coffees and computing, into town to fill up our RO water jugs. Back home and putter around a bit, check tire pressures for tomorrows journey. Then into the house and download new drivers to get Sandy's new computer hooked up to their printer and then a bowl of hearty turkey soup for lunch. It's lunch time already??
you guys leaving ?
Suzie sorted the laundry and I am off the New Hamburg laundromat. Easier here to 4 do loads all at once than all day at the farm. Nice thing about the laundromat I was able to relax in the car in the warm shade and enjoy my book something I haven't done for a bit.
While I was gone Suzie got some sewing done, cut up her old flannel night shirt, makes great cloths for eyeglass cleaning. I also picked up a few last minute items while in town. Checked out the hearing aid place for ma and had her call to make an appointment and have a slight adjustment made. Maybe a little too loud, she is not used to hearing all these new noises she has never heard before. I know from experience it does take a bit to adjust.
I have been wanting to wash our coach for a couple weeks and the weather has not co-operated until today. But by the time I had the time it was getting kinda late to begin this project. Need to give to roof a good cleaning after sitting under trees most of the summer, but looks like it will be somewhere along the road in our adventures in a warmer climate. I do enjoy cleaning our coach but really don't like to be rushed, there is always tomorrow.
So just a bit of computing and Omer wanted to come in a visit for a bit. Think he knows we are leaving tomorrow, must have heard us talking, he's a smart dog.
come to see Suzie
he even wanted me to pet him, thats unusual !
then Suzie had him search for his treat, under the sink
I have been told we have are invited to her mom and dad's for supper again, so I guess thats what's happening tonight. It's not very often a simple get together here and it ended up a bunch of us (13 in all) were there. A tasty bone in ham, mashed taters, brocoli salad, lettuce salad, homemade creamed corn, homemade mustard, homemade applesauce and homemade apple and pumpkin pies with spelt flour. Too much food but oh so good. Good thing we hit the road in the morning, can't keep eating like this our coach will be overweight.
tasty ham dinner
apple pie and ice cream
pumpkin pie anyone
Tomorrow we are on the road beginning our winter migration just across the border about two hours away so a nice easy start.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoyed this wonderful sunny fall day as much as we did.

  1. We hit the road tomorrow too. We have mixed feelings. We don't like the cold and rain but will certainly miss the family.
