Another very busy day.. and we got an i-phone!

Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario
First thing this morning off to town to see what's happening. Its pretty cold out there frost on the roof tops and a couple of hot air ballons up there. Just can't imagine how cold it would be way up there when it is about -5c (23f) here on the ground. But the view would be awesome!
2 ballons way up there

I got back home by 8:30 am to see if  Suzie is ready to go to the market. So off we head to St. Jacobs for some pepperettes and a new flannel nightshirt for Suzie, time for a new one, they are so warm and cozy!
pony ride?
Horse drawn tours
lots of produce
fresh baked goods
great Pepperettes
We got here shortly after 9 am and quickly walked some of the outdoor vendors. It was cold here! Just above the freezing mark and not much sun at all. So we headed into the buildings along with every one else and it was just packed, but we did make our way to the vendors we were looking for "Nights in White Flannel" got Suzie a new flannel night shirt, this would be number four for her. She just loves them and needs an new one every three to four years, its time before we head south for the winter.
Now back outside, not as crowded but still very cold. So a quick tour of more vendors on our way back to the car, lots of good deals to be had at this time of year, but we are heading across the border (5 more sleeps) want to use up the food we have.
Back to the farm we stopped at John and leas for a visit and drop off some xtra hot pepperettes for them. Time to say good bye for the winter, then their son Jamie was off to a ball game this afternoon, Have a good winter guys!
Next on the agenda pick up the raspberry cheese cake and head to Kitchener to celebrate with her Aunt and Uncle their 50th wedding anniversary! A house full of people and lotsa desert for everyone to enjoy. Ohotot albums, and slide shows all over the house, even a movie projector goind , I saw pics of Suzie and her sister as flower girls at the wedding, such cute pictures of them as very young girls.
cutting the cakes again after 50 years
Here we chatted and visited with many people for a few hours then off to the Bell store for a new phone, our old one has been acting up lately, so lets get a new one before we head  south.
Checking out the phones and the deals looks like we came up with a good deal on and I-phone 4 and North America phone and data plan. So looks like we may be in out of the dark ages with one of them "smart " phones. Gotta learn how to use it thou, I found out it even talked to me! It asked me what I was trying to do! Wow, I don't know yet but she was trying to help me. Looks like me and this phone may have some serious conversations coming up.

On the way home Suzie called the farm to try out the phone and we were asked to pick up pizza for supper in town. So looks like that is the plan for tonight, it was almost 6:30 anyway so getting kinda late, and we have not had pizza for a while.
Tasty pizza
Now that was another very busy day, think I will put my feet up a bit now and call it a night.

Thanks for stopping in for the visit!

  2. Flannel is definitely winter wear and dates back to the 17th century. Add flannel sheets and you'd be really toasty.

    1. The display on our old phone was have big issues, so we had to get a new phone and the simple phone we wanted would not work on our north America plan. So new plan, same price, with more features and iphone for the same price, kinda of a no brainer.

  5. Don't know how I'd function anymore without had an iPhone. I had the original iPhone and a couple months ago upgraded to 4s also. Siri can be pretty funny.
