Fri. Aug. 26th. Let's take it easy

Join us as we travel North America in our Holiday Rambler Vacationer,
 since August 2006

Once again its a sunny warm morning, coffee, computing, walkabout and a bike ride. Then a short drive to town, first stop is a vegetable stand for a small basket of huge beefsteak tomatoes only $3.00.
tasty tomatoes
Did a bit more shopping then checked out Seacliff Park a beautiful scenic day use area with picnic shelters and tables, playgrounds, interactive splash pad, lovely carved tree stumps and a nice sandy beach on the lake.

Then back home to enjoy a thick sliced fresh beefsteak tomato sandwich for lunch, so good. Now to putter around, read in the shade, bike rides and chatting with a few neighbours. Until 4 o'clock, its happy hour with the guys for a while until its time to fire up the barbie and grill a nice tasty salmon fillet with a rice pilaf and tomato slice on the side.

yummy supper
We enjoyed another casual meal then back to visit with Bill, Barb, John and Wendy for the final campfire and burn up the rest of the firewood, they are leaving in the morning (Kim went home to Buffalo this morning).
another fire to keep our toes warm
We have had such a great week with these guys, not wanting it to end, but we will get together again in October at Lazy Lakes Resort, Cambria New York as our first stop for this years migration.

  1. Love the lighthouse carved in the tree stump. Hope, B.C. and Truro, N.S. are two towns that are also well known for their tree stump carvings. Beautiful sandy beach, to bad the weather doesn't warm the water up like it does in Mexico.
