A cooler rainy day, good time to recover from some over worked muscles. And do some inside stuff.

      Cooling down even more 50 F (10C) at 5 am and still the same at 10 am overcast and drizzly looks like it could be all day. Did not get a good sleep last night , up at about 2:30 am and thought it was indigestion, tossed and turned , and read for a couple of hours then finally got up at 4:30.  Took some Gaviscon no that did not help then I was getting more pain and discomfort around my stomach and back. All of a sudden light bulb came on in my head. It was 2 days ago I had a nice workout at the fitness centre here and must have over done it even though I used light weights for my back and stomach. I should know better. I go through this every time I stay away from there for too long.  Ok now I know how to fix that 2 Advil and some Orthogel rub for fast pain relief I got from my chiropractor, almost instantly I began to feel better, Ya hoo!
      No walkabouts today at all with cool overcast day and non stop drizzle. Other than down to the office to pick up our new floor vent, Rob had ordered in for us, wholesale price he does for his members here.

       So just hanging out trying to let that pain go away, a few  light exercises, Even an almost snooze in my recliner for 30 minutes (something I hardly ever do). No lunch for me today, but that is just fine when I don't feel hungry. I did manage to get some computing done, purged about 4 months worth of excess photos and backed up my Mac Book. Got a few hours reading done on my new page turner, another in the FBI series from Carolynn Arnold.

       Outside  only warmed up to 58 F (14C) and still drizzling. So an inside day relaxing and beginning to feel better and what better day to do it than with weather like this?

     Still not much hunger for supper , but should eat something so a plain 2 egg omelette for me with 2 pieces of toast WW multi grain bread, should do it and of course SiL Sandy's amazing home-made strawberry jam on the side I love. And while I am at it a made Suzie a tasty western omelette, with 3 eggs, ham , onions, mushrooms and cheese.

      We actually enjoyed this wonderful inside day getting a few things done waiting for this weather to happen, and now my sore muscles are feeling almost like new again..
     I think similar weather tomorrow as well, no problem still have a few more inside things to take care of as well.
      Now here it is just after 6 pm and the sun is coming out!!  Awesome 59 F gonna sit outside for a bit then head back inside for the evening. Well we did at least enjoy a 1/2 hour outside as the sun was setting then cooled back down again.

  2. You figured exactly right. When you don't exercise or work any of your muscles for some time they let you know when you do.
    Looks like we are finally into the Fall weather so don't expect much more until you reach the southwest.

    1. I should know better, thought I was taking it fairly easy, Guess not.
      We will enjoy whatever weather we get as long as no white stuff on the ground.

    2. HA! - got to take those workouts easy, but don't stop! If you don't mind the menthol/camphor odor a Salonpas patch will relax the muscle knots overnight.
      We shared a 3 egg omelet for breakfast - poblano, jalapeno, onion, mushroom, cheese - a nice way to kick up your plain omelet ... to your usual standards. Chalupa optional.

    3. I will miss the fitness centre for the winter. The orthogel has a similar smell and works right away as well. Usually I load up my omelet as well, but tonight just a simple plain one taking it easy on my tummy worked perfectly.

  5. Happy your feeling better. Omlets are good for any meal had me one for breakfast today and thought about another one for lunch but I found some veggies and cut them up instead.

  6. As a general rule, you put in a few miles each day walking using your leg muscles with no complaint. You were using different muscles this time in your workout session with some aches and pain which most likely will go away the more you workout. I'll bet you had a few pains when you first started your walk regimen and just do not remember. Like my old high school coach use to tell me, "No pain, no gain."

    Thanks for checking on Tucker's breeds. We are thinking about a mix breed this time, just like Tucker; some owners have said they are healthier dogs because a pure bred dog may have magnified gene defects inherit in pure breeds which may affect their health.

    1. Your welcome Dee mixed breeds usually are healthier, good luck with your choice.
      No pain no gain, is right , just made me very uncomfortable, My legs are fine most of the time but the other muscles have been getting lazy..

  7. Sorry you didn't sleep well, I know how that goes. Glad you figured out your problem! Sounds like a little bit of an "off" day for you. With not being hungry all day, that's not good. Especially the way you cook! Omelettes look awesome! I could eat one any time fo the day! I love homemade jam, don't care what flavor!!

    1. The not sleeping happens to me sometimes, and after figuring out what caused it , I fixed it and all is good again, I don't mind cooking and don't always need to eat. The Omelette and homemade jam was just the right combination for me.
      Feeling brand new now again !

  9. That's unfortunate that you didn't sleep well. Glad it's just unused muscles that were causing the pain. I don't understand why you aren't hungry though. Hope you don't have a bug as well.
    Sounds like you're feeling better and that's great!
    A few inside days never hurt anybody, we always find something to do. Work or play, doesn't matter!

    1. Sometimes I wake up early but the pain in my stomach took the hunger away.. No bug feel brand new again today. Inside is ok but the outside fresh air is even better, always something to do with this lifestyle.
