Where are we today ?

Well after a pain free day yesterday that sure felt good. No pain pills needed I took 1/2 of one at 8 pm, slept pretty good till then 1:30, then another 1/2, still had pain off an on and at 4:30 took a whole pill sleeping until 7:45 this morning. Not too bad. Just wish I had no pain at night, usually the only time it happens when I am trying to sleep during the night. Will see how today goes so far no more pain at 10 am, a good sign.A few lay downs off and on, at 10:30 Suzie's Brother Dennis and SIL Sandy came over with some empty boxes. We were going to pack some outside stuff but was too cold and rainy so they had a short visit and left to meet friends for lunch in town..
Then about 2 pm we enjoyed a nice visit with Gerry, Melinda and Tucker, good friends from Rock Glen Resort. They head south Nov 7th to their trailer they have stored in Florida so nice to see them again and we wish them safe travels.

Where have we been this Summer ?
The sheperds pie and the lasagna look fantastic. You're being fed well, that's a good thing. Glad the pain is subsiding and hopefully some good sleeps are coming. Peace

DeleteYou feel the pain and discomfort more at night because you are not thinking about anything else. During the day you might be making plans or talking to someone so you don't notice the pain as much.

Yup sure was nice to see Tucker (Gerry and Melinda too) it was a great visit, Kims's pie was excellent we will get another meal out for it for sure.

So lovely that you are having company. FYI please do take the pain meds at night, not a half but a full one. That will allow you to sleep. Nothing wrong with taking pain meds. Your body does need to rest in order to heal. So many think that they should not be taking pain meds, however your body does better if you use them. Not th same if you take them after you no longer need them. From your long term RN. Sleep well my friend.
ReplyDeleteThe company is a wonderful treat, I was prescribed a 1/2 pill but does not seem to cut it so piping that and a sleeping pill I am going to try, Thanks Nurse Contessa, trying to sleep it make me feel much better.

DeleteI'm not a nurse but agree with Contessa, especially at night you should be taking a whole pain pill.thats when you need it the most.

I will be starting that again, Contessa does have some good advice, we spent 2 months with them in Mexico 10 years ago and knows her stuff. I do need them mostly at night time for sure. It sure was nice to see those guys again.
