Hey a pretty good sleep last night again, no pain, slept 2 hours, nature call.Slept 3 hours nature call, about another 2-3 hour shift then up at 5 am feels pretty good. Suzie's sister Rose had a nice Duvet that they don't use, too hot for them. We tried it out and very warm but we found it perfect we can now open out bedroom window for fresh air that we are used to for a cool bedroom at night.
Got some cereal, juice and coffee into me, some computing done, then laid down for a 1/2 hour just because I can. I get tired very quickly. At 8 am Suzie whipped in The Stratford Walmart for a Duvet cover, then to Pettigrews Garage Plattsville to have our winter tires installed and car serviced for 9 am.
winter tires installed and car serviced as ready as the car can be for the winter |
Then shortly after noon Kim went down the road to Tim Hortons, got herself some soup, toasted cinnamon raisin bagel w/cream cheese for me and a chicken wrap for Suzie.
the duvet cover is like one big pillow case |
push. pull and shake |
love the colors perfect for our new apartment |
Kim and I just before she left so much wonderful help |
Feeling rested again on a cold rainy day we relaxed, some reading and toasty warm not much more we wanted to do today read for a while then heat up the rest of the shepherds pie Kim made for us. This sure hit the spot again.
this did the trick along with some Ensure |
Thanks for joins us today only 8 more sleeps and we can move into our new apartment. Then winterize our coach and store it.

Well George, at least your out of that Hospital. Too many days spent there. Good for Kim to make the trek to help out. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYep out if the hospital for now,and lotsa family help, working out perfectly ,
DeleteWhen are you going to get started on some type of treatment? Waiting is hard.
ReplyDeleteAll the test results have been sent out and expect to hear from the specialst tomorrow for a plan of action. The waiting is hard,
DeleteLove the duvet cover, George. You are getting things done too for the winter. Just a few more sleeps and you'll be in your new home. Nice to hear you are getting better sleeping hours.
ReplyDeleteBill did see Suzie go by once today.
This cover is very nice thanks she had one hour to go the stratford pick up a duvet cover and then Plattsville at 9 am appointment, enjoy your time there, pain free and more sleep is wonderful.
DeleteThat's a long driving day for Kim, kudos to your loving daughter! Duvet looks great, how cold will it need to get before you close the bedroom window?
ReplyDeleteLets hope the pain free days and good nights rest continue!
Usually well below 0 F before we close the bedroom window especially in the apartment. Kim can do some helping and would come out every ay is needed all here kids are in school, well behaved and she works only part time down the street from her house,
DeleteFamous quote: "Details matter, it's worth waiting to get it right." Glad to hear you had another pain-free day. We are finally getting some cooler weather at night. San Miguel de Allende will be super chilly in the evenings. Can't wait to open the window and cover up. Be good.
ReplyDeleteYes Chris I believe that's well that is why they are specialists. The cool nights are nice for sleeping with the window open,
DeleteOK. Good, then. Another good enough night..and a good day. Glad to hear it. Will be thinking about you and hoping for the best tomorrow. Meanwhile, I can't believe you keep the window open when it's zero. Is that F or C? Brrr either way. Hope you sleep and sleep under that duvet.
ReplyDeleteSorry. I see you specified F. I guess I just couldn't believe it.
ReplyDeleteYes Judith that's F only open a bit for so fresh air unless the win is blowing in that window,
DeleteSo nice that your daughter made that long drive out to help Suzie pack. Love the duvet cover, now you will be toasty warm this winter even with the window open a bit. I like sleeping with the window beside my bed open to the fresh air. Glad you had a pain free night, hopefully tonight goes just as well :-)
ReplyDeleteShe is really and wonderful daughter as are all of our families, always there in a time of need. This Duvet is very comfy and warm, Did pretty good last night as well. Always love a window open for fresh air.
DeleteYou and Suzie really do have a wonderful family surrounding you with love and help during this time.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors in the Duvet color. Lovely picture of you and your daughter. We like the idea of a window open in the bedroom but O degrees is a little cold for us. I guess you Canadians are tougher then us Yoopers...lol
Sending more positive thoughts and prayers your way as you talk to the specialist on a plan of action.
Yes we do do have amazing families the bedroom window we prefer it open if only crack just for hint of fresh air. We are getting closer to some plan of action. next Thursday or maybe even sooner.
DeleteAnother great night of sleep and no pain. Your a tough guy George. Your daughter is wonderful to travel back and forth to lend a hand. Nice cover for the bed. Making progress for the winter and the move. Blessing with the Dr. that a treatment is planned and underway.
ReplyDeleteNo pain and a good sleep sure is helping, Kim is doing a great Job helping out this old man and Suzie get ready for our move. The DR is analyzing and the test results, then can move forward in the right direction.
DeleteGreat to be without pain
ReplyDeleteYes Larry it sure is.
DeleteThings are moving along with prep for the move, getting the car ready for winter, etc. We are surely blessed to have children that care for us and help out whenever and wherever they can! I too love the duvet color. Blue of any kind is my favorite!! Prayers the plan for addressing your health issues have good options. Thinking of you and Suzie!!
ReplyDeleteYes getting all our ducks in a row is a good thing, We are very blessed to have this amazing family and children, loving this duvet very comfortable. and cosy. Will find out treatment options next thursday or sooner.
DeleteThanks for the prayers,.
So happy that you both have family to help. Not as easy when you don't have family. I do love that duvet cover and we like to have the window cracked open just a bit as well. It was a cool 35F in Vegas last night. Try and rest as best you can and as much as you can. Between moving and the treatments you will be exhausted. Hang in there. Sending positive thoughts for your medical meeting today.
ReplyDeleteThe family help is awesome we are so blessed. and to believe I began my family 52 years ago, ups and downs but sure has been worth it especially now. This is our first Duvet and with the cover looks very nice is so cozy. Thanks for the positive thought and some future treatments to see which way we will be going. At least in and apartment next week.
DeleteWe have a duvet as well and use it year round. Seems to be just right even in the heat of Mexico.
DeleteWe will probably use the year round as well.
DeleteWonderful you've gotten such great help. Love the colors of the new duvet, would look just perfect on my bed!
ReplyDeleteWe do have some wonderful help and awesome family as well.

ReplyDeleteThanks guys it is very cozy, Kim being my first born 51 years ago had always been by each side when in need. We they to keep in touch and much as we possibly can. The lunch was tasty and hit the spot. And am slowing somewhat so I can get some rest.
