Happy Tuesday ! Are we excited? Yupper we sure are, more relaxed but the excitement kept us from getting a real good nights sleep. Hopefully better to night. Off and on finally back to sleep from 4:30 until 8 am after tossing and turning from 12 till 4:30.
Got some OJ, Ensure and coffee into me , our family Doc called and wanted me to stop my Blood pressure meds and take potassium . Today is a do nothing day, much needed. For tomorrow the Stratford Hospital for 7:30 am to get my liver Biopsy done. So she ran into the pharmacy to grab that, back home made some phone calls for lability and contents insurance. Plus Ontario Hydro (our electricity here in Ontario).
By noon the sunshine came out and sure felt nice. Sunshine makes everything feel much better.
Suzie gave me permission now that we are confirmed for the apartment to post some photos mostly of the furniture we purchased to get us started, just like a newly married young couple. Yup that be us for sure.

this is our floor plan |
We picked out the furniture we need to get started in our New apartment they will deliver Nov. 7th. What a wonderful friendly, family operation, word of mouth is their their only means of advertising and they do a very good business and after checking their prices we found them better than the big box furniture stores.
|
it looks small |
|
very large 2 full floors |
We choose the suite with white kitchen cupboards as opposed to the dark walnut and the light coloyred solid vinyl plank flooring, below the white cupboards.
|
cup board doors and floor below |
Then at Francis furniture we picked out enough to get comfortable once we move in. The rest will fall in place eventually.
|
comfortable queen box spring and Mattress |

|
2 night tables |
|
bedroom dresser mirror all on sale |
|
2 Lazy boy rocker recliners |
|
2 end tables for beside the recliners |
We have a nice maple kitchen table with 4 chairs (wedding gift from Suzi'e's parents plus Suzie's cedar chest is stored at Suzie's girl friend Chris's place and some winter clothes in a friends closet.
Such a beautiful sunny day about 60 F but with the wind gusts to 30 mph we could find no place to sit outside in the sun and out of the wind, Oh well and least we can enjoy from inside looking out our windows and sunny coming in feel good anyway.
|

Where have we been this Summer ?
Don't forget there is a lot of good tax free used stuff available on kijiji. We would not buy anything new if we were setting up an apartment, but that's just us. Hate giving money to the government for nothing. They don't tend to spend it very wisely.
ReplyDeleteThat was our plan Kevin but ran out of time and right now, too much pain and I can barely walk. I hate the tax as well.
DeleteLooks like it's all coming together. Settle in for a warm and cozy winter until you're feeling better. You never know what Spring will bring.
ReplyDeleteThat's right Chris we are ready to settle in soon and get through these issues
DeleteThanks for sharing the pics, George. I did not expect that, but glad you did.
ReplyDeleteBet you'll be thrilled with the new furniture!, new apt, new home, new experiences, you and Suzie deserve it!
Looks like your fall colors are starting to explode.
Best of results with the morning tests!
Your welcome Jeff I loved them did not think you would mind.
DeleteYes it sure will begun a brand new start with everything new. The fall colors are wonderful.
And thanks for the good wishes on my biopsy.
OK. Another thing tomorrow. You've gotten a lot done so far, sounds like all ducks are in a row. I do hope you can feel more comfortable in coming days....some good sleep once in a while would be at the top of my list. You're quite a guy to keep posting in spite of all.
ReplyDeleteThanks Judith, so far all our ducks in a row, feeling more comfortable sure would be wonderful. A good 7 hours sleep would be perfect for me and no more pain. May as well keep posting, not much else I can do and if nothing els a journal forourselves.
DeleteOur prayers are with you tomorrow. It must be fun to be picking out furniture for your apartment :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you guys it is fun and nice to get it out of the way too.
DeleteI think those 2 recliners are going to get a lot of use!😀 one of the best inventions ever made. Rest is good medicine!
ReplyDeleteThey will get a lot of use for a while at least, I have always had one for the last 40 years. Yes Rest is needed.
DeleteThoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow George as you have your biopsy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gramma.
DeleteWhat fun to pick out new things for your new apt. It all looks really nice to. I bet Suzie's having a wonderful time picking things out.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry your back to not sleeping well. And I will have you in my deepest thougths tomorrow.
It was nice to get things taken care of so quickly. Suzie does not like shopping but knows what she wants. Sleep will get better soon I am sure. Thanks for the kind thought JO.

ReplyDeleteYes Doug ready or not here I come, we will have the necessities in the apartment to get us going for now.
DeleteOur prayers and nothing but positive thoughts coming your way as you go in for you biopsy tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThat recliner looks comfy and inviting. The rest of the furniture looks really nice. Sounds like it is sort of fun to be furnishing an apartment, I liked your description, just like newlyweds. Nice to be able to support a family home town store instead of a big box one.Take care.
Thanks guys the recliners are comfy just what we need. And the rest will work perfectly. Seems like we are starting from scratch and is fun.
DeleteI like to support small town business whenever I can , I was one for 10 years.
Loved the furniture you both picked out and that you are supporting a local business.
ReplyDeleteYou took me back in time to when I was setting up my first apartment in Houston...thank you for that memory. I wish nothing but the best to you both.
Good luck with your biopsy tomorrow.
Thanks M's B this furniture will suit us perfectly and was just like starting my first apartment too. Great memories.

ReplyDeleteThanks guys moving in the right direction for sure. We love the colors more open and bright works for us too.
DeleteI've got all my fingers and toes crossed. Hoping for a good outcome. The furniture looks nice. You're going to have so much room in that apartment, you won't know what to do with it!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy . lol I want to see you cross you're toes. The furniture is perfect for us on a quick shopping trip to get started with. All this space , more than what we have lived in for the last 13 years.
DeleteBy now, the biopsy has happened. Hope the best for you both. I truly like your attitude, George. That in itself is a blessing. I am about to try this hemp oil for my aches and pains and hoping it works wonders as so many are proclaiming here in the States. Stay warm and much rest is a healer. Really nice furniture!
ReplyDeleteThanks Caddie biopsy all done and home by 2:30.. I am going to try these pain meds and see how that goes for now, staying rested and warm is the secret here now. And positive as always.
DeletePrayers for you this morning! Love the apartment and the furniture you picked out! Going to be so cute in that place! Love the bed. The furniture store is adorable, looks like a cute part of town.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the prayer the apartment is perfect for us, and the furniture we love as well. Tavistock is a Very small town other than a few small subdivisions.
DeleteYou will have a lovely place to winter this year. All that furniture looks comfy and inviting. Thinking of you at the hospital this morning. I hope you don't have to wait too long for the results.
ReplyDeleteThanks Contessa, the apartment and furniture is what works for us, very nice. In the hospital 7:30 pm out just after 2 pm quick easy and painless, one week for the results.
DeleteOne week!!! That is a long time. Meanwhile stay warm and hopefully pain free.
DeleteIt does but these tests are done here and the biopsy in Stratford forwarded to the Cancer Clic team specialists in London to determine course of action and treatments.
DeleteGreat that you got most or all of the furnishings... now you can sit back and relax and not worry about getting moved in...
ReplyDeleteWe have what we need for furnishing no worries there, just a couple of weeks until moving date. Coming together quickly.
DeleteThinking of you as you walk this road. Positive vibes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the positive vibes Karen.
