Up late last night again until almost 11 pm, (this is what happens when the sun goes down later) So slept in until just after 6 am. Sill quite warm abut 54 F and tonnage another wonderful day.Got nice walkabout town ,s topped by Pettigrews to chat with the guys for a bit them back home.
The plan for today worked out well , at 9 am we went to New Hamburg and picked up Suzie's Dad's car. He had asked if I would clean it up wax and detail it. Well heck this a perfect day to do this. So over to Suzi'e's brothers place to give it a good washing and vacuum. While I did this Suzie and SIL Sandy made trip to Woodstock for some time together out and about.

Where have we been this Summer ?
Car looks great, lawn looks great and so does the new coffee pot. I agree you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteThank Jeff it was a wonderful day all around.
DeleteThe car looks so good. I need to get some of that stuff for my truck. I have the coffee pot just be careful of the handle those silver strips can get really hot. Grass is beautiful
ReplyDeleteI do love the car wax so easy to use and does an awesome job. Thanks for the tip on the handle. Making the first pot now.
DeleteThe car looks shiny bet your father-in-law appreciated the effort you put in to clean and wax it. I love the purple lilac flowers. The first picture of your coffee pot made it seem rather large but when I saw the second pic I realized it was a normal size. I think after 40 plus years of use it has won its retirement.
ReplyDeleteHe really does appreciate it, and the Lilacs are so nice and smell wonderful. It is the size we always use and the portion bags off coffee make 12 cups no measuring. Out took me a long time to find this exact pot for a good price. I know a few people that can use the old one still.
DeleteThe car, lawn and new coffee pot look great. A fun day of work. Be sure to let us know how the coffer turns out.
ReplyDeleteThanks Contessa I am perking a cup pot right now. will soon know.
DeleteLooks like you had a good day. Dad's car looks great and so does the lawn. I love the look of a fresh cut lawn.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you got a new perculator. It will hopefully last another 40 years! haha
Thanks it was a good day and Happy with the way Dad's car turned out, still like new. The fresh cut lawn looks so nice too.
DeleteI don't need this perk to last me 40 years but seems to be very good quality.
Your new perculator looks exactly like the one we have and we love it! Especially using the filters you recommended! No spillage of coffee ever again! What a nice job you did on Suzie's dad's car! WE're going to see if we can find that wax, I know you've used and liked it and it does a great job too! The lawn looks awesome too!
ReplyDeleteReally liking this new perk , and the filters work wonderful glad you like them.
DeleteTha car turned out really nice think will do ours now. You can find that wax/polish at auto places and sometimes walmart , not cheap but goes a long way.
My goodness that car looks like new!! You're much more motivated than I. I'm lucky if I get to the car wash twice a year. My mom had a percolator like that .. it's probably still in our camp box. I'm sure the new one will work just as well.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy spending the time cleaning up vehicles , ours are next.
DeleteLove that old perk makes awesome coffee, the new one is doing a great jib as well.
As always you are an inspiration to us all, great work with the car and property. With that huge lawnmower you are using I would be done cutting the grass on our property in 5 minutes, I think. Drinking a good cup of coffee is therapeutic for me as well as an enjoyment. Hope you get the results you are hoping for.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ms. B . Taking advantage of this wonderful weather while we can. Nothing like a good coffee and the perk makes the best.
DeleteHope the new coffee pot works as well as your old one, and lasts another 40+ years! ;c)
ReplyDeleteThanks so far it has made a wonderful pit of coffee this morning. and am sure it will last long enough for me. lol....
